  It smells very similar to the original but with some super pleasant fresh touches. I saw it as a summer option to wear alongside my Angel. Based on the notes, it seems they added flowers and green apples to the darker side of Angel; at first, it seemed a bit citrusy. However, it doesn’t last or project much; perhaps it’s not bad, but when comparing it automatically to the original star, anyone feels short-changed. Perhaps ideal for those who like Angel but find it too heavy.

  I snapped this up at a price I couldn’t resist, intending it as a Mother’s Day gift. Initially, I hesitated whether it was a light EDT given the deal, but I told myself: ‘It’s a Mugler and it’s within reach; let’s take the risk, otherwise I’ll regret not buying it later’. I’ve tried it and, although it isn’t potent, it smells fantastic and the quality is top-notch. The opening is fresh, youthful, and very fruity; the notes say raspberry and green apple, but to me it smells like gulupa (almost like passion fruit but more aromatic and sweet, with a purple rind). It’s like opening fresh fruit and smelling the pulp, with a base of patchouli and vanilla (Angel-style) that gains strength hours later and closes the show on the skin, passing through a middle of a silky rose water. I won’t deny I expected more longevity, as upon opening the box it smells incredible and noticeable, something typical of this house. But Angel Aqua Chic delivers on its promise. It presents itself as an EDT Légère and behaves almost always like one. Fragrance: 9/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Projection: 7/10 Versatility: 7.5/10
