If it’s the EDT, it lasts and projects a lot on my skin; it surely depends on pH and the brand. La Petite Robe Noire is one of my favourites; that floral-fruity family makes me feel like I’m wearing real sour cherry (zero synthetic), rose, blackcurrant and musk. If you love cherry perfumes, this is a must-have. I wear it during the day in spring and summer, though I’ve worn it at night in winter. I’ve just read it’s one of the house’s best-sellers and I confirm I’d buy it again. If it sounds spectacular as an EDT, I can imagine the EDP. The bottle is super pretty, tender yet elegant.

I received a sample of this purchase and the first sensation was that it smells like something I’ve smelled a thousand times; too common, cheap, nothing sophisticated. Just a very faint fruity sweetness; the cherries aren’t even detectable. After 15 minutes, green notes appear which I also don’t like. If you want to smell like everyone else, buy this insipid perfume.

Beautiful and lovely. Guerlain always creates elegant and feminine fragrances, and this is no exception. La Petite Robe Noire EDT is gorgeous. What stands out most is the sour cherry (almost like syrup), apple, blackcurrant, musk and patchouli. The scent is linear on my skin, not changing much from start to finish; the opening is fresh but soon turns into a floral-fruity musky and patchouly dry-down. Longevity and sillage are moderate, which is fair for an EDT. Many like it for spring, but to me it doesn’t seem fresh enough; I think it shines more in temperate climates or autumn. It’s versatile, suitable for both formal and informal occasions.

I would love it if not for the opening, which I didn’t like much. The dry-down is exquisite; it’s not fresh but soft and pleasant. As it’s not invasive, elegant and without harshness, I find it super versatile. Perfect as a signature scent.

Cherry with rose, not as sweet as I expected, but still cloying, though just on the edge of tolerable. The Parfum version is unbearable.

Cherry with rose, less sweet than expected but still cloying, right on the edge of being unbearable. The Parfum version is simply intolerable.

Definitely the friendliest version of La Petite Robe Noire. I’ve already said the original is very strong and invasive; some even consider it masculine due to the licorice and anise notes, which this Eau de Toilette lacks and replaces with apple and orange blossom. For me, it’s a success: it opens super fresh, green and fruity, smelling clean and clear. I love that green apple and green note accord, slightly bitter, like the foliage of an apple tree on a spring morning. Then comes the classic profile: sour cherry and sweet vanilla, which give it weight. The dry-down is similar to the original perfume, ambered with a touch of patchouli. As an EDT, it lacks the persistence of the original; it’s a splash with sillage but little longevity, about 6 hours. It’s very pleasant to the nose. The original is so strong it causes anosmia and terror to anyone who gets close, and I ended up not smelling it on my skin at all. But with this EDT, I’ve smelled it all day. If you’re thinking of buying something from the line, I recommend starting here. It has all the interesting aspects of these perfumes but in a more relaxed and enjoyable way. Plus, it’s much more affordable. I genuinely believe it’s perfect and the best option in the entire line.

I had Black Perfecto and it’s almost the same, only with less fruit and rose, and without leather. In the case of leather, I’m grateful, as in the other it was very aggressive and dusty, but I miss the fruit and the rose. I feel it has licorice or vetiver even though it’s not advertised, and that tires me out too much.

I bought it for my 30th birthday and it was by mistake; I wanted the EDP, but it was a pleasant surprise. I adored it; I felt identified with this new stage of life. It lives up to the description: turning 30, being coquettish and prosperous. It’s fresh and sweet without being cloying. It has a delicate sillage; the rose opening is noticeable immediately but it’s playful with the other notes (I didn’t even realise it had jasmine) and blends perfectly to give way to the cherry, apple and blackcurrant, though at one point a touch is noticeable which I’m not sure is mentholated but manages to keep it from being cloying. By the end of the day, patchouli, musk and amber are detected, giving it a more serious tone without being heavy. In short, an excellent surprise purchase.

I bought it by mistake online and it came out so cheap I decided to keep it; I didn’t know it and when I smelled it, it reminded me of a perfume I own, Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. Do they resemble each other? No, but without a problem it could pass as its long-lost cousin. The perfume is good, for daily wear, it doesn’t bother, and lasts all day. It’s an intimate perfume, for you to enjoy with your partner, not for people to smell and ask which one you’re wearing. If you’re looking for that type of perfume, this isn’t the option. It’s a good perfume, feels natural, the cherry is the protagonist. It looks nice to gift to a young girl, preferable to a celebrity one. It smells expensive, rich girl, but I repeat, it’s not a perfume that smells outrageous and lasts until the next day; it’s 100% intimate. For you to enjoy.

Delicious, so far my favourite. On my skin it has good longevity and considerable sillage. I bought it for myself on my 15th birthday and have carried it with me since then. Smelling the three drops left in the bottle is a way to remember my adolescence. A distinct fragrance, for an authentic personality.

I was gifted this for Christmas and opened it on the 24th, dreaming of a delicious scent. The truth is, it smells nice but very faintly; the trail is scarce and the longevity is terrible—it didn’t even last through dinner or the bonfires. I own another Guerlain that projects massively, so this toilette has disappointed me. Perhaps perfumes are only worth buying if they last.

In 2012, I went to Liverpool for a gift and was sprayed with this fragrance as a promotion; it won me over. Its fresh, sexy, and warm aroma brought me comfort, but unfortunately, the trail is light and it lasts barely four hours on my skin, so I haven’t repurchased it. I recommend trying it a day before buying, as not all fragrances perform the same.
Mineradia
Disappointed with the longevity and projection; I expected a Guerlain to last more than three hours, and it doesn’t. I’m not regretting the purchase because it was a good offer, but if I had paid the full price, I would be furious. I do like the scent; it’s very daytime and usable in any context. Would I recommend it? Only if it comes with a significant discount.
Dolce
Fresh and enigmatic trail. The presence of black roses and cherries, jasmine, neroli flowers and a hint of black tea. It’s floral but seductive and stimulating. I love it.

With La Petite Robe Noire EDT I found my perfect match; I think no other perfume has pleased me more. It has everything: it’s fresh, fruity and sweet, with just enough bitterness to prevent it from being cloying and to add interest. You can detect the almond note, sweet cherries (not sour like the EDP), a rose so lovely and delicate that surprised me, with a soft sweetness that gives it a youthful air. A touch of apple adds more freshness. In the end, there’s a cherry-tinged rose, a bit sweeter as the bitterness has faded. It’s soft, not invasive and without a strong trail, typical of this type of fragrance. I don’t expect much from soft ones because strong ones make me dizzy. Those who use heavy perfumes might say it doesn’t last, but I could smell it until the end of the day, which is unusual for soft scents. This pink beauty suits a sweet, fun, feminine, mischievous personality with subtle sensuality. Despite its freshness, I see it as suitable for all year round, or perhaps it’s just because I like it so much 😉

I found my perfect match with La Petite Robe Noire EDT; I believe no other perfume has pleased me more. It has everything I seek: fresh, fruity, and sweet, with a slight bitterness that prevents cloying and makes it interesting. You can detect the almond note, sweet non-sour cherries, a delicate rose that surprised me, a hint of apple that adds freshness, and finally a sweeter cherry-rose. It’s soft, non-invasive, and lacks a strong trail, typical of this type of perfume. I don’t expect much from soft scents because strong ones make me dizzy, but I could smell it by the end of the day. This pink beauty suits a sweet, fun, feminine personality with a subtle sensuality. Despite its freshness, I see it as suitable for all year round.
Amile
It’s elegant, the scent is a bit strong, but on my skin it has excellent longevity and projection.

This fragrance is very rich, sweet, and elegant, yet not serious; rather, it’s coquettish and fun. I love it!

I received 1ml samples with my Guerlain purchases. I tried this fragrance and it has a certain air of the EDP, but I prefer the EDP a thousand times over. At first, it smells of roses and jasmine, then I detect plenty of apple and cherry becoming sweeter, and finally it turns more musky. It’s refreshing, sweet, youthful, and cheerful. The problem is that on my skin it lasts nothing—not even two hours, which is rare for Guerlain as they usually last longer. I like it quite a bit but it didn’t captivate me. Update: four hours have passed and I can hardly smell anything; only up close do I notice the patchouli and a musk that I don’t like. I like the top and heart notes, but not the base. It doesn’t fix at all; I’ve convinced myself it’s not for me.

They gave me 1ml samples along with purchases at Guerlain. I tried this fragrance and it has a certain air of the EDP, but I prefer the EDP a thousand times over. At first it smells of rose and jasmine, then I detect plenty of apple and cherry becoming sweeter, and finally it feels more musky. It’s refreshing, sweet, very youthful and cheerful. The problem is that on me it doesn’t last at all, wow, not even two hours, which is rare for Guerlain which usually last longer and have a better trail. I like it quite a bit but it didn’t make me fall in love. Update: four hours have passed and I can hardly smell anything; very close to the skin I perceive the patchouli and musk, and I don’t like that scent. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not to my taste. I like the top notes and the heart notes, but not the base. Mostly, it doesn’t fix on me at all; I’ve convinced myself that it’s not for me.

I was gifted this by mistake this Christmas. After their big campaign, I was thinking of buying the EDP for myself, but I was given the EDT instead, and it’s a disappointment, although I am a loyal follower of Guerlain. The scent smells like cheap fruity Yves Rocher perfume, specifically blackberry. On my skin it doesn’t last more than an hour; no one noticed I was wearing it, and even my mother asked if I was using perfume. If anyone has more experience, could you help me know where to lodge a complaint with Guerlain?
Black.orchid
Total disappointment. I was given the EDT instead of the EDP and it lasts nothing at all, neither sillage nor scent. I don’t understand how they sell something with so little essence at that price. Guerlain no longer offers the quality of the past. Do not waste your money on this EDT.

I was given this by mistake during the festive season. I was expecting the EDP after seeing the campaign, but received the EDT instead, which is a real disappointment as a loyal Guerlain fan. It smells like cheap fruity fruit fragrance, reminiscent of Yves Rocher, specifically blackberry. On my skin, it lasts an hour, no one notices I’m wearing it, and even my mother asked if I was using perfume. Does anyone know where to complain to the house?
Black.orchid
Total disappointment. I was gifted it; I would have preferred the EDP but received the EDT, and this one lasts nothing. The projection is non-existent and it barely smells. I don’t know how they can sell something with so little essence at those prices. Guerlain no longer offers the quality of their early creations in their latest perfumes. Don’t waste your money buying this EDT.

Starts super fresh with intense cherry, but within minutes the green notes take over. It’s very discreet, perfect for spring/summer. The downside is that on my skin it doesn’t evolve at all: it lasts well but smells soapy… 🙁
Haruna
A very subtle fragrance, with a sweet, floral and fruity touch. The scent is pleasant for hot days, but its trail and longevity are quite light.
