It is odd that such a beautiful fragrance has not even a single review at this stage, that it goes so unnoticed… I do not understand. I have been purchasing Essential several times over the last ten years, and it is perfect for work, especially in the office or when with others. Despite the sillage (3/5) and longevity (4/5), it is a very balanced, sober, and unobtrusive scent (note: it is not dull). It begins with blackcurrant, bergamot, and rose, evolving into a woody peony with vetiver as it dries; in the base, it recalls Donna by Trussardi, which, incidentally, was also created by Nathalie Lorson. It is elegant, delicate, and feminine. It is not a perfume jewel nor particularly glamorous, but neither is it recognisable, too commercial, or trite… which is a good thing. Additionally, it offers excellent value for money; I recommend you give it a chance.
It is strange that such a lovely fragrance still has no reviews, that it goes unnoticed… I don’t understand. I have been buying Essential several times over the last decade, and it is ideal for the office or when meeting people. Despite its sillage (3/5) and longevity (4/5), it is above all a well-balanced, sober perfume that makes no scene (but beware, it is not boring). It opens with blackcurrant, bergamot, and rose, then transforms into a woody peony with vetiver as it dries; in the base, it reminds me a little of Donna by Trussardi, which, by the way, was also created by Nathalie Lorson. It is elegant, delicate, and feminine. No, this is not a perfume treasure nor anything especially glamorous, but nor is it easy to recognise, too commercial, or overused… which is good. Furthermore, it has excellent value for money; I recommend you give it a try.
In line with the previous comment, this is a hidden gem. No one mentions it; it seems forgotten, yet I am here to testify to the subtle and delicate scent it holds. First, master Nathalie Lorson possesses a majestic agility in creating precious fragrances; her signature is a guarantee with every creation. Here is a floral proposal blending peony, jasmine, and Bulgarian rose; these flowers rest upon three precious woods. I wear it wonderfully in my daily life and also at work.
