I’m tired of overhyped conventional fragrances; there are lesser-known proposals that vanished for no reason or went unnoticed. After years exploring the perfume world, I’d never encountered anything like this. I define a beautiful perfume as something that attracts me with extreme pleasure and satisfies my taste, but there’s more: charm. Anouchka is a fruity floral that lasts decently, isn’t overwhelming, makes its presence felt, and doesn’t cost a fortune. It opens with a fresh peach note, a non-sweet floral heart, with a sharp and spicy projection, and a velvety dry down of oakmoss. In the first hour, the peach leads, followed by aldehydes, jasmine, coriander, green notes, and bergamot, with a touch of honey that embraces it. Then a bright, acidic wood, a serious spice, and a solid, classic florality that radiates joy join in. The final question is: why did this type of proposal end up in perfumery oblivion?
