Top notes… I haven’t tried the Altahïr by PM, but this smells great; I suppose the original wins on quality. As for this one: the opening is very cinnamon with a fleeting citrus touch from the orange blossom; soon after, the vanilla and the resinous elemi emerge. Throughout, there’s a spiced vanilla note from the cardamom, and deep down, the sweet, chocolatey praline. I give it 8.6/10 because the vanilla feels a bit synthetic and dirty, so to speak. I’d prefer more citrus at the start… But it does the job.
