It’s a knock-off of Vanilla Powder, but it’s good; just don’t overdo the sprays in enclosed spaces.
I have this perfume and I chose to buy it for concrete reasons: firstly, I was looking for a vanilla that wouldn’t bother other people, at a time when autumn (especially here in Mendoza) is making itself felt. Secondly, because I needed to reconnect with this note that sometimes, perhaps because it is repetitive, doesn’t manage to offer perfumes that are very different from others. What did I find with this “Oro Absoluto”? Exactly what I was looking for, made in my country, and with a pronounced niche profile and excellent quality. The opening is an experience full of vigour, with a bright liquid honey and a mix of vanillas that accompanies it directly, moving after a few minutes to the heart of the fragrance and staying there for the whole of the perfume’s life on the skin, which is long-lasting but not at all invasive: the key point is subtlety. Finally, the base rounds off the fragrance with amber and caramel, giving a warm and enveloping feel. If I had to say which perfume it reminds me of on first impression, I’d say it vaguely resembles Babycat by YSL, but it’s definitely not inspired by it, and the notes prove it. But I think that to get at least a very general idea, Aurum Absolu would be “more or less” along those lines. It all depends on each person’s sense of smell. For me, it’s more than approved. 9/10
