Try to Forget Me by Wayne & Co

I bought it blind because of the advertising and local hype. It’s a niche sort of thing—it feels odd, unique… a strong cherry with leather. Quite unisex. It’s not exactly a wow, but there’s something about it that draws you in. It’s not one for wearing a lot because it’s overpowering.

This great perfume from the house of Wayne and co is tremendous. I bought it blind and was amazed by that opening of sweet but dark cherry, and the leather that increasingly takes centre stage as the fragrance develops. A 30+ fragrance, for nighttime and winter or autumn. Highly recommended. (It doesn’t seem at all feminine to me).

Very good fragrance. Very interesting combination with very contrasting notes, very well done. The opening is striking, but then it settles down and you can enjoy it fully. Very good value for money. On my skin it lasted 12 hours. Impressive!

I bought it blind, but I don’t recommend doing so, even though it worked out well for me. I was hugely impressed by its aromatic quality and by the fact that the atomiser is pressurised; it makes me proud of the Argentine national industry. It starts with a fairly powerful leather and a syrupy cherry, sweet but not invasive, accompanied by an orange that some might find a little medicinal, almost like cough syrup. Over time, the leather settles down and you begin to notice woody notes, sandalwood, incense and palo santo. Personally, I didn’t get any cocoa or dark chocolate, but it does bear some resemblance to the perfume Mayar Cherry by Lattafa, which shares those chocolate and cherry notes, except that the TTFM is much more masculine-leaning. It’s a super mysterious, dark perfume; some might consider it sexy. It’s the kind of perfume you never want to name so that nobody steals it from you; it’s not a flat or basic scent at all, it’s a perfume for someone with a strong personality. I’d say its scent is very close to niche; personally, it reminds me a little of Flamenco Extrait by Monegal. It doesn’t discriminate by gender; although it leans more masculine because of the powerful leather, it works well on both a woman and a man. As for age, you could say it’s a 25+ going on the safe side, but I’m 22 and wear it, and I’ve had an enormous number of compliments with it, from men and women, more than with other designer perfumes I wear. I would really recommend trying it before buying it, and if you like the aromatic profile, go for it.

Complexly incredible. And I say ‘complexly’ because this is not a simple perfume, and that’s something to keep very much in mind. You can really tell, an awful lot, how well thought-out and crafted this fragrance is. It opens with a boozy cherry, ultra dark and even mysterious, accompanied by an incense that gives it a spectacular touch. The first time I sprayed it, I’m not going to lie, it shocked me a little. After a few minutes, though, the scent began to change and automatically took me to Christmas, to that moment when we pop open the cherry champagne. Hahaha. In the drydown, an ambery vanilla loaded with leather appears and is incredible. I’m not a fan of sweet perfumes, but this vanilla has something special: it’s addictive, elegant and not at all cloying. On my skin it lasts around 7 to 8 hours, with a projection of about 3 hours, more than enough to make itself noticed. It really is a compliment magnet. I always say that a perfume has to represent you, that it has to be that fragrance which sets you apart from the rest, the one that makes people smell an aroma and automatically think of you. This perfume achieves that excellently. If there is one thing I rate above everything else, it’s its originality; it has its own personality, which is very hard to find these days. Congratulations, Marcos! You managed to create a perfume with niche-quality perfumery, at an incredible price and, on top of that, national. My respects.
