I don’t know where to start; it’s a dense, opulent and heady fragrance, incredibly well-rounded in its oriental, sweet, balsamic and exotic wood notes. It’s an exquisite scent with superb longevity. It is, after ‘Ambre Fétiche’, the best incense-based oriental I’ve smelled in a long time, truly addictive. From the very beginning, the oud and incense are undeniable. The opening oud is balsamic, smoky, with a strong spicy presence; it doesn’t smell medicinal but warm and piquant, like exotic wood, and together with the incense it’s spectacular. Gradually, the spices (saffron and caraway) give way to a more resinous aroma, with an elegant leather undertone, leaving an incense-drenched oud bathed in sweet resins over a bed of refined leather. Magnificent! ‘Azza Silver’ doesn’t have a complex development, but it doesn’t need to; it more than delivers while maintaining that gothic, dark and mysterious air, full of nuances, a delight for lovers of such scents. It has a certain resemblance to ‘Nawaf’ from the same house, though ‘Azza Silver’ is more resinous and sweet. So far, it’s the attar with the greatest longevity I’ve tried, easily surpassing 12 hours even with an intermediate shower, absolutely barbaric! Its sillage is moderate, but with wind it’s very noticeable and persistent; it depends greatly on body heat, perspiration and pulse. When I wore it, it was hot and people kept commenting, but I rate it moderate as it depends on many factors. A night fragrance and for cold climates, but since I’ve fallen in love with it, I’ll be wearing it always. Totally recommended for lovers of incense and woods, with that sweet oriental touch of the 90s, at an incredible price that makes you think of the scams of some designer perfumes. P.S.: Review of the original with the bottle as in the photo. The roll-on is a reformulation with a slightly different scent; for more info, read my posts on the forum.
