Descripción

Nuit D'Issey Noir Argent by Issey Miyake is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion. In its top notes, the fragrance unfolds with nutmeg, black pepper, grapefruit, and pink pepper; the heart reveals leather, frankincense, and saffron; while the base settles on myrrh, patchouli, labdanum, and vetiver.

  • The opening is very sharp, at least to my taste. On my skin, myrrh dominates alongside the acidity of the grapefruit. It’s purely winter and nocturnal, performs to the hilt and makes you stand out. I wouldn’t recommend it for spring or summer as it can be overwhelming. I think I’ll review it again in winter; it’s worth it.

  • Hello, I just applied it at 20:40, two sprays on my left arm, 14 degrees. The opening is soft, with none of the stings found in Givenchy or Issey Nuit. I’m still watching how it develops and it’s a delicious scent with good performance for spring and autumn. Simply delightful.

  • It took me over three years to track down this white unicorn that never made it to Spain. Issey has raised the bar compared to his classics; it’s the same idea as Fahrenheit but with balsamic notes that make it a masterpiece. Although the potency and longevity drop slightly, I prefer it for being more versatile. The balsamics evolve sincerely into a soft leather and patchouli. It will cost me a fortune to use, but I want it to last a lifetime.

  • I just tried it in a perfumery. Sharp, strong, and voluminous opening where frankincense is the note that dominates the entire evolution. I think it’s a very interesting proposal from Issey Miyake. I recommend it!

  • I just tried it in the perfumerie. Very sharp opening a strong and voluminous fragrance where incense is the note that predominates most throughout its evolution. I find this proposal from Issey Miyake very interesting. I recommend it.

A modern cut proposal with a comforting aroma and presence. A sensual and energetic scent suitable for a magnetic confident and decisive man who loves the taste of the night conquest and the pleasure of being in good company. Spicy warm balsamic dark mysterious sexy. The dark woods and resins dance with the Vetiver. Pepper incense saffron and leather are an unmistakable seal that grants the man who wears it the power of natural attraction. A fragrance born to express the powerful and mysterious heart of nature that lives at night. Its notes are seductive deep and capture the attention of those around leaving an enveloping trail that makes one imagine an unforgettable night to those who know how to ignite their interest. A sober but determined aroma free of excesses but incisive in its essence. Present without hesitation. It adapts to those who receive it blending with their scent to give life to new sensual nuances. Absolutely elegant an innovative elegance ideal for men seeking an olfactory combination of all respect.

  • This perfume can be summed up in one word: balsamic. It reminded me quite a bit of the Intense edition from this same brand only here the citrus and fresh notes almost disappear replaced by resins leather and patchouli without losing that light balsamic quality. The duration and projection are much greater and noteworthy. It’s balsamic nocturnal as its name suggests and with a lot of presence. I’d give it an 8/10.

  • In one word: balsamic. It reminds me of the Intense edition from the brand, but here almost all the citrus and fresh notes are gone to make way for resins, leather, and patchouli, without losing that light balsamic character. Longevity and projection are much greater and notable. It’s balsamic, nocturnal, and has a strong presence. I give it an 8/10.

  • Updating the review with time. A beautiful fragrance but a pity it doesn’t last long. I bought it at a good price and it disappoints that it doesn’t go beyond six hours with ten sprays in the correct season. The incense and vanilla are executed brilliantly but the performance leaves much to be desired. At first it feels intense but I would have liked more projection and a more brutal leather note. It breaks my heart that it doesn’t have that punch it deserves. It will be my winter-spring signature for never buying it again. It seems fragrances must be bought as soon as they launch so they aren’t destroyed or discounted by the damn reformulations.

  • I bought a decant. Frankly it gave me a feeling of… I’ve had this before. Its similarity to Nuit d’Issey is very high. I know it’s a flanker but I expected more marked differences that would make this a distinct proposal. I don’t find them; they’re very similar. Paying its price doesn’t justify the acquisition; if you already have Nuit d’Issey I suggest passing. It smells good a pleasant seductive and nocturnal aroma just like Nuit d’Issey only more expensive and harder to get. Personally I stick with the original. Cheers to the group.

  • It starts with a more pronounced incense than the regular Nuit, with a blueish touch and a rough sandalwood type of Ajmal or Laudano Nero, all with medium-low sillage. After less than five minutes, all that disappears and it becomes identical to the Nuit, but closer to the skin. It lasts about eight hours close to the skin. It’s linear and I believe it should never have existed: after five minutes it’s the same as the Nuit, which has better performance, especially the early batches. If you already own the classic, don’t buy this, because it’s practically the same with mediocre performance. A total disappointment.

  • It starts with a more marked incense than regular Nuit d’Issey with a blue sensation and a rough sandalwood touch like Ajmal’s Santal Wood or Laudano Nero all with a medium-low trail. After less than five minutes everything disappears to leave exactly the same as Nuit d’Issey but with a trail almost right on the skin. End of story. It lasts about eight hours on the skin. Except for that initial five minutes it’s a linear fragrance that I think should never have existed. Why? Because after four or five minutes it becomes identical to Nuit d’Issey only this one has much more mediocre performance. If you already have the classic Nuit d’Issey don’t bother buying this because you’d practically be buying the same thing with poor performance. A total disappointment.

  • Perfumes from this brand have never convinced me… I bought this one due to the multiple good reviews. I don’t perceive the leather note; it feels quite synthetic. I bought it blind and to be honest it disappointed me. It wasn’t what I expected; it smells quite generic and overwhelming; I can’t stand wearing it. That’s my perception. WARNING! The times I’ve worn it people have asked what I’ve put on and I’ve even received compliments so people like it and it’s not that bad after all.

  • Having read the reviews beforehand I was hooked by Juangse and Jerry Drake’s and bought it. It’s just as hard to get hold of as the other best-sellers I hadn’t tried but it has earned its reputation. It’s dense complex and seeks out the more knowledgeable noses. It shares the peppered leather DNA of Nuit d’Issey EDT but diverges from the vanilla of the Parfum to go for something balsamic and incense-heavy. It’s a sweet incense not ecclesiastical thanks to the myrrh which gives it a resinous character alongside the leather. That myrrh makes the incense spicy rather than smoky with the backbone wrapped in pepper and nutmeg. Everything is well assembled; after a few minutes the scent remains unchanged until it fades after hours. The performance is beastly: I got it in 2018 without a box and slightly damaged yet it performs phenomenally. It doesn’t have explosive projection but the bubble remains for a very long time just like the longevity I’ve experienced on my skin even after showering. On clothes it soaks in too much and lasts for days if you don’t wash it. Its only flaw is that it’s challenging and singular; it draws from Nuit d’Issey but with more depth. It’s elegant and suits the cold but it can be tiring due to its character so my use will be occasional. It’s worth having for a collection but not as a daily signature. Its DNA is magnificent and only those who know Issey Miyake well will understand it; pity that its flankers aren’t accessible to everyone.

Issey Miyake is devouring the market with too many flankers but if they’re as good as this Noir Argent there’s no problem. Pulse of the Night is also fantastic though by another route. It’s amber and balsamic starting fresh and peppery before giving way to the dark with myrrh incense and a soft leather that the myrrh mutes from the outset. A generally balsamic and resinous aroma. Its performance stands out: although it seems to lack power it’s constantly present lasts an eternity on clothes and on skin it’s well above average. At some point it reminds me of the discontinued Fahrenheit Absolute presumably due to the myrrh. Following the line of the Nuit d’Issey EDT I think it’s the best flanker from Issey after Noir Ambre quite under the radar compared to other louder ones. A small jewel more versatile than it appears to be savoured drop by drop because like everything from the Japanese house it’s out of the market.
