I tried it twenty-five years ago and fell in love; jasmine is my signature note and it transports me to my grandmother’s garden where I used to play as a child. I tried other things afterwards and lost it, but if I find it again, I’ll buy it for my collection. The longevity is top-notch, very soft and not at all invasive.
I used it twenty-five years ago and it fascinated me; jasmine is my favourite and reminds me of my grandmother’s garden where I used to play as a child. Then I tried other things and lost it, but if I can get my hands on it, I’ll add it to my collection. The longevity is excellent, very soft and in no way invasive.
Flowers with incense: what a fantastic fragrance! The Number 9 has it all: fruits, flowers, wood, and incense. The bottle is lovely, I have the Eau de Toilette in glass with a glass stopper, it’s an ornament on my dressing table. This fragrance is a delight. It starts with aldehydes but not too strong. On the top there are pineapple, mandarin, and bergamot fruits; the pineapple is the most prominent, juicy and delicious. In the heart there are many flowers, then it turns into a floral garden: mimosa, tulip, carnation, neroli, lily, wisteria, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, rose, orange blossom, broom, hyacinth, violet leaves, mimosa petals, and basil. I’d say the mimosa dominates but the others dance together. The tulip, jasmine, carnation, hyacinth, and violet are heard very well. In the base there are sandalwood, musk, oakmoss, vanilla, incense, cedar, ambrette musk, vetiver, and iris. The incense dominates the base, covering all the flowers with a dark veil. It feels like smoke appearing and then a seductive darkness descends. For me, it’s for night wear or formal events with expensive and elegant clothes. It’s gone out of fashion for having aldehydes and many flowers, but that doesn’t prevent appreciating it today and enjoying it. It’s a paradise of flowers and a night of charm and romance, one of my favourite perfumes.
I want to buy a perfume like this and I can’t; it’s my first time here. If anyone can help me, thank you.
It was one of the perfumes I used to wear as a teenager; for me it was a very fine floral explosion. On my skin, the lily of the valley and ylang-ylang stood out, finishing with woody notes and dusty flowers. I think it’s been discontinued; at that time its trail was good. A romantic perfume. Rating 7/10.
What I like about Azzaro 9 is how the pineapple and mimosa complement each other. It’s sweet, slightly powdery with subtle iris notes. I sense hyacinth and wisteria but they are muted; the first two notes are the ones that shine the most. There’s a hint of vanilla and mandarin but they stand out little. The aldehydes give it a vibrant aspect but at a low level. It’s very lightly spiced. Broadly speaking, a medium floral-fruit with an interesting pineapple note, mimosa, and far behind a support of white flowers.
Azzaro 9 is exquisite, I used it about three decades ago, what a shame it’s been discontinued in my country.
One of the most beautiful perfumes I’ve ever smelled. It brings me unforgettable memories. Jasmine predominates, which I love and reminds me of summer nights in Seville. The bottle resembles the First by Van Cleef & Arpels, though this one is more modern. It’s a pity it’s been out of stock in Spain for years. It’s my favourite and I’ve used many.

It was the first perfume my father brought my mother from France in the 80s. I think it was the first fruity pineapple, floral, and mossy scent I ever smelled. It also carried expensive sweets, with a delicious French sweetness that I can never unhook from the smell of this perfume; I knew it tasted like Azzaro 9 and vice versa. I was fascinated when my mother wore it, and as I grew up, I used it on special occasions too. It suited a young girl. It lasted as perfumes don’t anymore, and its trail, nothing aggressive, accompanied her for hours. Some ingredients had colour names; I spent years convinced it was the yellow scent, for me it will always have sunny yellow notes.
One of the most precious perfumes I’ve ever owned. I used it at university and the compliments I received, along with the fond memories, make it unique. What a pity it’s been discontinued like so many exquisite scents. For me, it projected incredibly well without being invasive; the balance between floral and fruity notes was perfect.
Azzaro 9 is one of the most exquisite perfumes I’ve owned; I used it at university and, apart from the compliments, it brings back pleasant memories. It’s a shame it’s discontinued, like other exquisite fragrances. For me, it projected incredibly yet pleasantly, nothing invasive, with a perfect balance between floral and fruity notes.
If there is a vintage fragrance, this is it. Orange blossom with mimosa and neroli leaves it sweet and delicious. I remember when it was very much in fashion. You feel wrapped in flowers, it’s spring, and everything is joy.
A true vintage fragrance if ever there was one. Orange blossom with mimosa and neroli, sweet and delicious. I remember when it was all the rage. You feel wrapped in flowers, it’s springtime and everything is joy.
What a shame it’s no longer available… I adored it when I was a teenager, back in the day when perfumes didn’t have an age and you could wear your mother’s and everyone would like it. Azzaro 9 was soft yet strong at the same time, powdery, subtle, and very feminine; a little bit was enough not to overwhelm. The longevity was incredible; I remember it as woody and dry but delightful to wear. The flowers weren’t too obvious but they were there. What times those were, it transports me.
