  • Paco Rabanne RockStar suits me fine, but Black XS L’Exces is a different story: floral-oriental, vaporous and romantic. The pepper is there from the start, not overpowering, giving that dry, warm touch that contrasts with the neroli at full blast; intense though it is, it’s intoxicating and perfect for night. It deserves the ‘Excess’ in the name because it pushes the ingredients to the limit with its own personality, distinguishing itself from its predecessor without losing appeal. The flowers and vanilla enrich the blend. If I had to compare it to a band, it would be Def Leppard in a duo with Taylor Swift; just imagine her wearing it 😀

  • Paco Rabanne has taken on the RockStar role; I respect it 🙂 But to me, this perfume sounds more floral-oriental, vaporous, romantic and sweet, rather than rocker. The pepper is noticeable from the start without being overwhelming or giving goosebumps, which is very good. It has the right touch for that dry and hot sensation that contrasts with the excessive neroli, which is at the limit but not oppressive, intoxicating for the night. It deserves the ‘Excess’ suffix for pushing its ingredients to the limit, with its own personality and as attractive as the previous one (depending on taste). The other flowers and vanilla are also noticeable and enrich the version. If I were to compare it to a band, it would be Def Leppard in a duo with Taylor Swift… I imagine they would use it! 😀

I love Black XS, but this version I absolutely dislike. In fact, I have it because I was given a lot of samples and I don’t know what to do with them; there’s no way to wear it. However, the normal Black XS I LOVE, seriously 😉

  • I love Black XS, but I hate this version… In fact, I have it because I was given a mountain of samples and I don’t know what to do with them; there’s no way I can wear it. However, Black XS I LOVE, seriously 😉

  • I really love it; it’s sexy and very rich. Every time I wear it, I get many compliments. I recommend it…

  • Delicious and addictive. I used to crave it, but my skin ruins it thanks to the damn pepper. A curious and delicious mix of neroli and pepper.

  • It smells like red wine… It’s difficult to wear with any style. But the EDT version of Black XS is quite rich; I share the same opinion as Harpagofita.

  • It’s a gem for the night, lasts on the skin, pleasant and sexy. I like it more than the Black XS. I recommend it to girls looking for addictive and strong perfumes 😉

  • Black XS L’Excess for women seems very generic. I don’t want to offend, but the overuse of jasmine in women’s perfumes really tires me out. It ends up drowning out the scent rather than blending well. Here it is jasmine and rose with a smoky touch (perhaps from the pepper). Where is the neroli or the cashmere wood? Beautiful notes that are completely absent. Not even the vanilla is noticeable. The bottle is gorgeous, a pity the contents don’t match up. The longevity is poor. Scent: 3/10, Versatility: 6/10, Sillage: 3/10, Longevity: 4/10

  • Black XS L’Excess for women felt too generic to me. Without wishing to offend, I’m getting more tired of the excess of jasmine in women’s perfumes, which tends to smother the rest of the notes rather than integrating subtly. Here it’s jasmine and rose with a smoky touch, perhaps due to the pepper. What about the neroli? The cashmere wood? Beautiful notes that are conspicuously absent. Not even the vanilla is noticeably present. The bottle is gorgeous, but unfortunately the contents don’t match. The fixation is poor. Scent: 3/10, Versatility: 6/10, Trail: 3/10, Longevity: 4/10.

  • Oh, Paco, what a joy to see the bottle; I almost cried. But upon trying it, total disappointment. It smells bad, doesn’t last at all, and is just anything. They tried to follow the rocker style and failed; it smells cloying, strong but in the wrong way. I don’t like it 🙁

  • It’s an intense fragrance, clearly for night wear. Achieving intensity and youthfulness at the same time is difficult, but this manages it. It conveys the sensation of a daring and sexy personality.

  • It’s a powerful perfume, ideal for the night. Achieving an intensity that is also youthful is difficult, but this manages it. It gives the impression of someone bold and sexy.

  • I absolutely love it! I’ve been wearing it since it launched and it’s madness to stop using it. ♥

  • I just bought it and I absolutely love it! Rock ‘n’ roll perfume! I’ll never get tired of wearing it.

  • Yesterday the last of this jewel ran out, an excellent perfume that is no longer available in Argentina. I hope they relaunch it. It’s a distinct night perfume unlike any other.

I love it. One of my favourite perfumes. Every time I wear it, I receive compliments. It’s rock ‘n’ roll and cool.

A worthy representative of the oriental floral family with vanilla. On my skin, it has moderate sillage and acceptable longevity, around 6 hours. I consider it sexy, bold, and sensual, ideal for going out at night. I used it in all kinds of weather; I enjoyed the perfume but didn’t fall in love with it and never bought it again.

  • I didn’t realise they were discontinuing this bottle and its fragrance; otherwise, I would have cherished the last two drops more. I loved wearing it so much; people always asked what I was wearing, it lasted until the next day, and I felt powerful. It was my partner’s first gift to me, and he loved it. I searched for its ‘substitute’, the Black XS Black Excess, hoping it would be as good as the skull and rose, but it wasn’t: its longevity is short, it’s pronounced wood, dry, without flowers, and with a slight sweetness. It brings back memories, but far from my dear L’Excess.

In an era where star fragrances are sweet, mass-produced and unoriginal, Black XS L’Exces committed the sin of being different. Although it uses popular notes, it did so from another perspective, with a different light. It is strength, distinction and contrast, something I like and that captivates me. Upon spraying, you note the pepper, neroli and citrus, and soon a jasmine emerges with a soft rose over vanilla, bitter cocoa, cashmere wood and a touch of leather. It’s a rollercoaster of contrasts: intense flowers that don’t overshadow the woody sparkles. It can be confusing, but that mystery invites you to decipher it, like a seduction game that knows how to play it well. Ideal for fresh party nights. On my dry skin it lasts over 8 hours, with a strong trail at the start and moderate afterwards. It’s worth trying even if just for experience, as it is discontinued.

Oh my God, this is the worst perfume I’ve ever tried. It smells like petrol, like cheap biodegradable detergent. Horrible; I can’t stand it and it gives me a headache. It smells of nothing but petrol. I bought it blindly and it was a total disappointment.

  • MariCamargoB

Oh my God, this perfume is by far the most horrible I’ve tried. Seriously, it smells like petrol. It reminds me of some cheap biodegradable detergent. Horrible, I can’t tolerate it; it gives me a headache. It smells like nothing else but petrol. I bought it blindly and it was a disappointment.

My signature scent for years. I’ve always loved it and still treasure the few millilitres I have left like gold. It’s a dark, sexy winter evening fragrance where you can smell every note. I’ve received many compliments. It’s a shame it’s discontinued; it has nothing to do with Black XS. It has incredible longevity on the skin, over 8 hours, with a soft but present sillage. It’s super original; I’d love to find another fragrance of that style.

In an era where star scents are sweet, mass-produced, and lacking creativity, Black XS L’Exces was the original sin. Although it uses popular notes, it saw them from a different perspective, which cost it its existence. This perfume is power, difference, and contradiction—something I like and that captivates me. Upon spraying, you detect pepper with neroli and citrus, and within minutes a soft jasmine and rose emerge over bitter vanilla, cocoa, cashmere, and leather. It’s a rollercoaster of contrasts: intense flowers that don’t overpower the woody sparkles. It can be confusing, but that mystery invites you to decipher it, like a game of seduction that Black XS L’Exces plays very well. It’s ideal for fresh party nights. On my dry skin, it lasts over 8 hours, with a strong sillage for the first hour and then moderate. It’s worth trying, even if just for the experience, as it is discontinued.

My signature scent for years. I’ve always loved it and I treat the last few millilitres like gold. It’s a dark, sexy winter night fragrance where you can smell all the notes. I’ve been complimented so much; it’s a pity it’s no longer available; nothing like the Black XS. It has incredible longevity on skin, over 8 hours, with a soft trail but with presence. It’s super original; I’d love to find another fragrance like it.

  • I thought I’d love it for the notes, but it turned out to be a truly sharp and foul vintage floral. It has great sillage and longevity, but it’s definitely not my style.
