It is cosy and a little sweet, but I prefer the traditional Quatre. It did not manage to enchant me. It is not bad, but for me, it does not convince.
Hello! The fragrance opens fresh with a bitter almond touch, delicious; it reminds me of the original Quatre. A few minutes later, the tonka bean with the pear is felt, sweet… yes! sweet and ripe; in this phase it smells like Good Girl, and at the dry-down the vanilla… it reminds me of freshly baked Christmas cookies! It is perfect for winter, as it is warm and cosy, with a good trail, lasting 6 hours on the skin and longer on clothes. If you like something sweet and elegant, try it… but beware, not blindly… if you do not like sweet notes, better leave it.
It is a fragrance that places you at an exclusive level. You can tell from the quality of the ingredients. It begins sweet, fresh, and spiced, then moves directly to a subtle, balanced wood. It is not for everyone, only for those who appreciate complex compositions. I would not recommend it to those new to perfumes, as it requires a trained olfactory sense developed through aromatic exploration. It can certainly be unisex, maintaining a perfect balance.
This smells very different from Quatre and its ‘little siblings’. To me, the classic is for daytime wear, whereas this is more of a night scent. The opening is ‘spicy’ due to the pink pepper, and you can definitely detect the almond. Then the tonka bean blends with the jasmine, I believe this white flower lasts until the dry-down. In the end, it smells very similar to Good Girl. If you like Carolina Herrera, this is on the same line. It is spiced, woody, and very ambered, ideal for autumn and winter evenings.
I absolutely love it. It has great staying power and still smells divine on the skin after several hours; however, I can’t find it in any store or online today… has it been discontinued?
