  An urban and modern scent, elegant and sophisticated yet with immense power. It smells of solid ground: juicy berries, dark wood, and dry sandstone. On the skin, a real blend of blackcurrant with that dry, astringent touch, fresh and spiced cardamom, and a bitter, vibrant bergamot reminiscent of sun-pressed grapes. An incredible olfactory play. The flowers do not stand out alone but soften that fruity fire with a velvety calm: dry, soft, and more addictive the more it blends with your skin. Then comes the star: a rough, dark, leathery oud, like the beams of an old cellar or the planks of a ship that have gained weight over the years. The oud shows all its power without overwhelming you, which is a feat, thanks to the balance with the fruit and that bright lightness. Like other fragrances from this house, Burgundy Oud surprises me with its naturalness and refinement, even if I do not wear it much. It has the air of high-end Maison Crivelli. I recommend testing it on skin before buying, because the performance is that of an extrait.
