Sandalwood with a fruity twist, very much in the style of Khamrah. Ideal for evening wear from afternoon into the night.
“Carioca Heart” lives up to its name: it brings the soul of Brazil in a beautiful bottle. I only tried it once on my wrist and I loved it. The opening is a creamy mango scent, as if bathed in coconut milk with pineapple and lemon. As it dries, the mango recedes slightly but remains present, while rum, creamy sandalwood, and sweet vanilla take over. The trail is light, but the longevity is brutal: over six hours and it still smells divine. It reminded me of “Andalusian Soul” by The Merchant of Venice, but with mango and an almost imperceptible labdanum.
Carioca Heart lives up to its name, capturing those quintessential Brazilian scents in a gorgeous bottle. I only gave it a quick spritz on my wrist and was instantly smitten. The opening is a creamy mango, as if steeped in sweet coconut milk with hints of other fruits—I believe pineapple and lemon. As it dries, the mango softens slightly but remains present, while rum emerges alongside a creamy sandalwood and a sweet vanilla base. The trail is modest, yet the longevity is impressive, lasting over six hours with the scent still lingering. The dry-down reminded me a bit of Andalusian Soul by The Merchant of Venice, though with the mango staying prominent and a barely perceptible touch of labdanum.
A refreshing luxury cocktail. June 2024, CDMX under extreme heat: wearing perfume is a bold move, as sweat kills longevity. I thought of “Hawaii-Bombay” by Mecano, imagining beaches while sitting in the office with the air conditioning broken. I needed to travel, go to Rio, and have a cocktail. I stumbled upon Jusbox and saw “Carioca Heart”. Mango? Few fragrances feature it. Rum? The classic alcohol note that lasts. Vanilla? The queen of longevity. I bought it blind, that extreme sport. The packaging pays tribute to Bossa Nova, that genre from the 2000s which was like today’s Lofi. Upon spraying: acidic and sweet fruits, pineapple and mango, feeling like freshly made juice. Then the alcohol gives that cocktail touch by the poolside under the sun. It evokes images: beach, deckchair, palm trees, sunscreen, and a tricked-up drink. Technically, it lasts 12 hours (by the next day, it smells of vanilla). People say: “Smells expensive”, “You smell very sexy”. The mango is realistic and impressive, noticeable for the first six hours. Close your eyes and you are in Rio, a garota serving you a cocktail. A perfect imaginative oasis.
Worth every penny. People buy replacements, but this perfume goes to the moon; perhaps you only need two in a lifetime. I don’t sense any evolution (it depends on pH, but in my case, perfumes are radioactive and this lasts over 24 hours just as potent with only one spray). From the start, it is a cocktail of sweet and fresh fruits: lots of juicy, sparkling pineapple, then mango. Although not declared, I sense coconut water, perhaps due to the combination. It is a flirty, refreshing, and cheerful cocktail. When wearing it, you can’t help but think of holidays, the beach, rhythm, and party. Undoubtedly, a tropical bomb.
Clear opening: mango with acidic pineapple. Then some hibiscus. As it dries: mango, peony, rum, vanilla, and a touch of sandalwood (in that order). I understand the comparison with Hibiscus Mahajad, but this one is fruitier and softer (HM is very intense) and features peony instead of rose.
Wooded fruity beauty with amber and vanilla undertones. The opening sounds like a tropical melody: juicy mango, fresh and cheerful pineapple slices, with light hints of ripe yellow guava. A dream. In the heart phase, the floral notes enter with a subtle peony. What I appreciate most about this high-end fusion is its density; it has substance, it is not a generic fruit scent like Escada, but it has weight. Its dry-down is chameleon-like: it shifts to a sweet amber style with light sandalwood, becoming more cordial with others. Very pleasant. The fruity chords remain from start to finish. The trail is wide at first, then moderate. It lasts a maximum of 10 hours on skin, with intense projection for 3-4 hours. Unisex, with a slight feminine lean. Fruity/tropical for all year round and any occasion, better for daytime and casual encounters. I am fascinated and look forward to enjoying it to the full. It distances itself from Hibiscus Mahajad, which has more hibiscus and vanilla. They do not overlap, although they share nuances. In conclusion: excellent olfactory quality.
