About Chêne Minéral
Chêne Minéral: Oak Edged with Sea Salt
Created by Coralie Spicher, Fabrice Pellegrin and Florian Gallo, Chêne Minéral by L'Occitane en Provence launched in 2026 as a woody-aromatic fragrance for women and men.
It sets mineral brightness against woodland matter, with a salty-green opening leading towards resin and timber.
Sea salt, cardamom and fig shape the opening. The salt feels brisk and slightly damp, cardamom supplies a mellow spiced note, while fig contributes a green fruitiness that brightens rather than sweetens heavily.
At the heart lie clary sage, olibanum and oak. Clary sage offers an aromatic, herbal quality with a floral lift, incense brings restrained resinous depth, and oak lends the dry, bark-like signature of the blend.
The drydown rests on ambrette musk, cypriol and cedar. Ambrette musk gives a soft, enveloping finish, cypriol a touch of earthy smoke, and cedar a neat, lasting woody frame.
The character remains woody-aromatic throughout, fruity, salty and marine to begin with, then warmer with amber and musk. Gentle spice and floral hints prevent austerity.
The progression is legible: sea air and fig leaf, herbs with incense, finally dry timber and musk. A measured composition favouring harmony over drama.
It will suit those who favour fresh unisex wood scents, green fig, marine notes, clary sage and dry oak softened by musk.
Chêne Minéral presents a contemporary oak: mineral and herbal first, woody and musky later, understated and easy to wear.
Spices Green, herbal and fougère Woods and mosses Musk, amber and animalic
