Eau Florale by Christian Lacroix is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2001, this composition was created by Nathalie Lorson and Beatrice Piquet. White and harmonious floral. On my skin, what predominates is the floral aspect; I barely notice any woody or citrus notes. I sniffed it for a while thinking it sounded familiar, until I realised its floral accord resembles that of Dior’s J’adore. They aren’t identical, but in my perception, they share something in common.
This floral opens shyly with white notes that smell like fresh, soft cologne, but within minutes it coalesces into something reminiscent of Dove-style soaps. That soapy touch is the most striking: over time it gains intensity, radiating cleanliness without losing freshness. A lovely scent for women that lasts quite well on skin. My intuition suggests it has garnered little commercial success, but that doesn’t detract from its beauty. Thanks to whisper_of_love for sending me a sample of this discontinued fragrance.
