  It starts with a fairly aromatic and woody scent, featuring sandalwood, spices and a touch of patchouli—a promising opening. However, it didn’t really convince me later on. The spices and aromatics fade, replaced by a soapy and woody note, likely from the musks. I also detect leather and moss in the base, even though they aren’t listed. In the end, it dries down dry and bland. It smells mature, but not elegant to my taste. The performance is nothing special: average projection and longevity below the brand’s usual standard. I see it as totally masculine and suitable for any weather, except extreme heat. Personally, I didn’t like it. The opening is the best part, but the evolution failed to impress. Honestly, it doesn’t smell good to me.

  Since I tried it in a decant, it was instantly a favourite. It smells incredibly clean, floral and spiced with just the right touch of sweetness. I absolutely love the magnolia and labdanum; combined with the nutmeg, they create a truly pleasurable blend. The longevity and projection are top-notch, as is typical for this house. I wear it everywhere because I find it incredibly versatile. The only drawback is the price, which is steep, but if you develop a crush on it, it’s definitely worth it.
