  1. I made a mistake buying it without testing it first, but it is a quality replica of Creed Aventus. It has that DNA, though it becomes a bit boring and the longevity is short. Sometimes the market doesn’t release original scents, although niche perfumery should offer more.

  2. En Route smells good and its notes are distinct without clashing, unlike some others from the house. It is high quality and pleasant, but the performance fails: it lasts about five hours on the skin. If you want more, you have to spray your hair or use boosters, which changes the scent. It doesn’t project beyond the first hour. If you don’t mind, it is good alongside Tramonte and Matin a Mogador. Always test on skin before buying.

On the go… and before trying it, I wondered: what does it smell like on the journey? Trees, and that’s what it smells of – green, nature – with magnificent quality and sophistication from Botanicae. I’m completely smitten with this Murcian brand. It was a joy to discover a Spanish house offering excellent-quality fragrances at a commercial price, nothing more. They arrived in a lovely discovery set with two complimentary decants and beautiful packaging. Notes of vetiver, bergamot, leather, tobacco flower, spices, lavender, almonds, rum, with hints of orange and lemon. The result is an intense, refreshing pine scent that evolves into tobacco flower and leather. It reminds me very much of Creed’s Silver Mountain Water – mind you, it’s not Aventus; they’re quite different. En Route shares the vetiver, bergamot, tobacco flower, lavender, orange and lemon notes with Creed’s Silver Mountain Water.

En Route… smells of trees and nature, with the quality and sophistication of Botanicae. I love this Murcian brand: excellent quality at a commercial price. It arrived with a discovery set and two extra decants; the packaging was top. Notes of vetiver, bergamot, leather, tobacco flower, spices, lavender, almonds, rum, and citrus. It is intense, refreshing, and evolves into tobacco and leather. It reminds me of Silver Mountain Water by Creed (not Aventus, they are different). It shares notes with Silver Mountain Water.

  5. Aventus clone. The fruity opening is rich, but the longevity ruins it.

It smells great, Aventus-style, more pineapple and less smoke. It doesn’t last anything: with eight sprays it barely reaches an hour. A shame, I won’t be buying again. I contacted them by email to give feedback quietly and they ignored me. No repeat.

This is Botanicae’s Aventus-style version: more citrusy and fresh, similar to Zara’s Noble Palo Santo (which is superior). It is more balanced than Vibrant Leather. Smelling it is a pleasure; it feels high quality. The problem is the longevity: six hours being generous, and it barely projects off the skin for the first half-hour. It is the only EDP from the house with this flaw. It is the most masculine alongside Matin a Mogador. If it suits you, it is one of the best Aventus-style alternatives for quality and price. Au revoir!
