Morning Chess by Vilhelm Parfumerie is a leather fragrance, created for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition was designed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette. The olfactive pyramid opens with a top note of bergamot, which gives way to a heart of leather and galbanum, while the base settles on patchouli and black amber.

Another Aventus clone made by the king of Aventus clones.
Morning Chess is Vilhelm’s version of Aventus. It smells rich, but like the original, it lasts and projects very little. It seems like a joke to check that niche houses sell these colognes for over €200 with lamentable performance, trying to sell you the idea that it’s a personal treat. A total disappointment.
It’s a re-interpretation of Aventus by Jerome Epinette, denser, with more leather and sweetness. In my opinion, it surpasses the original. Later, Jerome released Vibrant Leather Extreme for Zara, which is identical but at a ridiculous price. I wouldn’t pay for Morning Chess, but with Zara you get the same scent and niche quality.
