Epris is an 80s classic with a 70s soul, much like Red Door which crossed over into the 90s. It’s a green bomb of moss, very fashionable at the time, blended with balsamic, spicy and smoky touches that define that era. Although not entirely oriental, once it settles, you can detect the clove, muguet and ylang-ylang, along with aldehydes and a flash of bergamot. Over time, it becomes powdery, playing between chypre floral, floral oriental and aromatic oriental without settling into any one of them, until its floral nature becomes clear. The green balsamic notes accompany it until the very end. My review is of the extract.
