I don’t know why I only listed this 2014 anniversary edition and not the original… how does one add a perfume to the Fragrantica database?

I still remember that scent my mother gave me years ago… I never liked it, so I gave it to my father; I never understood its aroma, though perhaps today, twenty years later, I might like it more… I’ll have to try it. I usually shy away from perfumes with so many notes combined; I never see the point in mixing so many scents, as they tend to create chaos and synthetic smells for me.

It is one of the richest fougères in the world. The quality is incredible, and the blend of woods and green notes is perfected. It was my grandfather’s signature scent since I can remember, and wearing it feels like travelling back in time to sitting and chatting with him. Undoubtedly, a work of art.

My favourite fougère, also my preferred fragrance from Loewe, and I have more than twenty. Ultra versatile, a classic that will never go out of fashion.

My favourite fougère, and also my preferred Loewe fragrance, especially as I own more than 20. Ultra versatile, a classic that will never go out of style.

Absolutely magnificent woody and forestal fragrance, right up to the top notes. Warm, elegant, classic yet modern; I simply adore it. It boasts such a richness of plant and wood ingredients (conifers, fir, cedar…) that it creates a unique scent radiating immense sophistication. I’m heartbroken they’ve redesigned the bottle, as that often implies a reformulation, and I’ve already heard complaints about it. A timeless Loewe classic, imperishable like a fine mahogany piece of furniture passed down through generations.

This is the bottle commemorating the 40th anniversary of the fragrance’s birth. It is the exact same scent, not a reissue or anything like that (no reformulation or such stories involved).
