Garanat: the rose is clear and high-quality; the master perfumer creates the sensation of being in a blooming garden. At first, the frankincense (rough, dry, almost tickling my throat) competes with the rose; I don’t know which wins. Then the rose dominates and is simply beautiful, very suitable for men, evoking relaxation and elegance. It dries down dry on me; I would have preferred some creaminess, but I acknowledge the mastery: few notes, flower-dominant, a masculine fragrance. Lasting power is average, high price to buy blind, better to try before buying.
One of the best roses I’ve tried; high-quality rose over frankincense and amber with an initial sweetness. Over time, only the rose remains, so real you almost feel it. As Jerry Drake says, it’s ideal for men; it’s unisex but the frankincense gives it a masculine touch. Elegant and sophisticated, perfect for mild climates, far from today’s sugary scents.
