Bought this yesterday and, by the love of God! How can they sell it for just three dollars? The tin says ‘Pineapple and Black Vanilla’, but it smells like something else entirely. It opens fruity and aromatic, with spices like cardamom. As it dries down, it becomes vanilla, chocolate, amber, and a touch of patchouli. I absolutely adore the fine leather, suede notes—very aromatic and refined; nothing smoky, just like wearing a European suede jacket. I remember the advert: a chocolate cupcake that was tempting until a golden snake slithered on like a Bulgari bracelet. Along with Dark Temptation, they defined the scent of the 2000s in Mexico: high school and university, parties with cheap spirits, Belanova, Belinda, RBD, Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, Aleks Syntek, Zoé, and Panda with Pepe Madero. We wanted quality scents without spending on Paco Rabanne. Sweet bombs for the club, like One Million and Black XS. Axe launched these gourmands that influenced that entire olfactory family. Apologies for the contextual ramble. Smell both, buy both if you want the cupcake and the snake; they share uses, but in my opinion, one suits each occasion better. The chocolate one for parties and the Golden Temptation for intimate dates, more comforting and less loud, though they can be swapped. They resemble One Million, but with distinct nuances: Paco is citrusy, musky, and ambered; Axe is aromatic, cardamom-infused, fruity, and vanilla. In Axe, the club queen is Black Night: like Versace Eros but more gourmand (they drained the ethyl maltol from the Gottlieb) with robust woods that make it more masculine. Leather and Cookies is like JPG Le Male Essence, but Excite and Apollo are better for daily wear. Blessings.
