Caught the quince and tangerine notes, but the much-praised lavender is completely drowned out by that fruity sheen that dominates from the start and lingers in the dry-down. It’s obviously a synthetic, generic deodorant, but ultimately, it’s RICH. I’m surprised by the low notes here.
The best Axe I’ve tried since they launched the new Apollo in 2014.
It’s the best AXE I’ve tried since the new AXE Apollo launched in 2014.
I haven’t tried the fragrance, but I love the smell of the deodorant. It’s youthful, sporty and fresh; in my opinion, it’s the best the brand has produced. What a pity it’s hard to find and doesn’t have good performance.

I’ve been using Apollo since it arrived in Mexico with that mind-blowing campaign to win a trip to space. It’s herbal, citrusy and woody; to my nose it’s dry, with no lavender or amber. It works well in spring thanks to its base of dry, resinous woods, and it lasts until autumn, but not for winter. In summer it functions, though extreme heat isn’t its place. For daytime it’s fine, although I’d prefer Excite for going out. From Axe, it doesn’t disappoint, especially if you’re seeking citrus. Blessings.
(Body spray) I’ve been using Apollo since it launched in Mexico with that extravagant advertising campaign (like a raffle to go to space), and this is my take: it’s herbal, citrusy, aromatic and woody. To my nose, it has neither lavender nor amber; it’s a dry aromatic fragrance. It suits me well in spring, but its base of dry, resinous woods makes it valid for autumn too. I don’t see it for winter. In summer it works well, though extreme heat isn’t its best setting. For daily wear, it seems good, although I’d prefer Excite for certain situations. But among Axe’s offerings, Apollo doesn’t disappoint, especially if you’re looking for citrus scents. Blessings.
Axe Apollo: clean, fresh and sexy. It’s one of the best from the brand, almost the best. My absolute favourite. Buy it blind; you’ll love it and girls will be thrilled. It’s compared to Fierce, Montblanc Legend and Sunrise (85% similar), but the 95% match is with Playboy New York. Cheers!
Axe Apollo: clean, fresh and sexy. One of the best Axe scents, if not the best. It’s my favourite. Buy it blind; you’ll like it and women around you will adore it. It’s compared to Fierce, Montblanc Legend and Sunrise (85% similar), but the 95% match is with Playboy New York. Cheers!
