What a beauty! The perfume and the silver finish are a total hit; it lasts a long time and I absolutely adore it.
It’s a dupe for Chanel’s Chance, more citrusy at the start with a clean dry-down. However, like other Guess perfumes, projection and longevity aren’t its strong points. The bottle doesn’t help either: the plastic and shape give it a generic and rather ugly vibe.
I bought it blind because the silver Guess has earned me so many compliments for its floral scent, but this one didn’t please me as much; it’s totally opposite to the silver version and I find it very masculine for my taste, though I’ll keep trying it.
It smells different, with the complexity of perfumes from the old days. An uncommon but beautiful aroma. I see it as suitable for all year round, slightly unisex, blending fruity floral notes with aquatic and green undertones. Good longevity, a heavy trail for the first hour but dries down beautifully. An interesting combination. I really like it. I recommend it, but only buy blind if you can smell it first.

I feel it’s too unisex. I bought it blind with good reviews, but our pH levels differ and that makes a difference with this Gold. The top notes are very light; I detected lots of sandalwood and vetiver, a hint of rose, and found it very masculine. After an hour or two, the amber with pineapple and apple becomes noticeable; these three notes cling to the skin without much longevity or significant trail, although it becomes more feminine afterwards. I’ve only worn it during the day; I’ll have to try it at night and in summer. Ultimately, it wasn’t what I expected.
It’s hard to describe; although it has flowers and fruits, it’s not the typical soft floral-fruity scent, but quite the opposite. At first, I didn’t like it because it smelled like a men’s perfume and I left it forgotten. After three months, I returned to using it and noticed it had softened considerably, becoming unisex but very feminine. I can’t quite identify the notes as they are very blended, but perhaps pineapple, vetiver, sandalwood, lemon, water lily, and hyacinth stand out. I bought it in summer and couldn’t stand it, plus I detected a strange contact paper smell that I no longer notice. I bought it blind because they said it smelled rich, elegant, and sexy, and now I agree. It’s a woody, fruity floral, elegant and sensual, for women aged 25 and over. I don’t see it as very versatile; better for special occasions and evenings. It smells lovely on fresh days; in heat it’s potent and sweet, but not gourmand. Longevity is moderate to long-lasting. It’s a perfume with personality; you need to be dressed up to wear it. It’s not mass-produced and is worth it for the price. It had been discontinued, but they brought it back due to demand.
I bought it recently and only tested it on my wrist. At first, I felt it was very masculine, but today I enjoy it greatly. It’s woody and powdery, and if I notice it, it leans more feminine; I can see myself wearing it daily and for formal occasions. I haven’t fully tested the longevity yet, but it’s one of those that persists even after washing. Update: on my skin it lasts 6 to 7 hours. It reminds me of the smell when sharpening a pencil; it’s strange but I love it. Edit: today it lasted 13 hours, I absolutely love it!
I don’t know why, but to me it smelled very flat, almost musky. It’s not bad, it’s very clean. The same thing happened with Jimmy Choo. I didn’t use it; I gifted it away.
This perfume is special; I gifted it to my mother but then I liked it so much that I would take it back from her occasionally. It’s sweet, fruity, and very youthful, housed in an elegant bottle in my favourite colours with a suede pouch.
At last, I’ve got my hands on this gem. It reminds me of that Martian Guess – sweet yet characterful, perfect for evening wear and super feminine.
Back in 2006, as a genetics student, I only used those tiny 1ml samples costing fifty cents or a dollar. Amidst the smell of chemicals, a volunteer colleague left me speechless with her fragrance. Fortunately, our basic needs budget included fifty dollars; while my peers spent on transport, I rushed to the shopping centre and grabbed the four-piece set (perfume, lotion, soap and roll-on) I saw. I had a rough time with the journey, but leaving with that scent and that joy made it all worthwhile. It was my first perfume bought with my own money – what happiness!
I tried it as soon as it arrived: intensely sensual, with a slight talc-like dry-down but no plastic bottle smell. It’s a strong opening that mellows over time yet remains noticeable on you and those around you. Ideal for special occasions, parties, or clubs where you want to make a statement. Sweet and tolerable, classy and refined. In heat, wear it outdoors at night to avoid being overpowering. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
Just received it and didn’t wait to try it: intensely sensual. Once dried, it has a touch of talc, but nothing reminiscent of that cheap tin of powder. The opening is strong and although it fades over time, it still leaves a trail on you and others. Ideal for a special occasion, an embrace where you want them to forget your scent, or for a night out where your aroma dominates. It’s sweet but tolerable, classy and refined. If using in heat, better at night and outdoors, watching the sprays. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
With this perfume, everyone asks ‘what do you smell so good?’. It has great presence, makes me feel feminine and coquettish. It’s my favourite, but unfortunately it’s been discontinued and I haven’t managed to buy another 🙁
It smells delicious and is very long-lasting. My mum used to have it, and I always used to steal it, hehe. The downside is that it’s been discontinued in Mexico… what a pity. If anyone knows where to buy it or can suggest something similar, please let me know. Thanks!

I wanted the silver one and my mum mistakenly gave me this; I didn’t like it at all, but I gave it to my niece (ten years younger) and she adores it. I found it very strong, maybe I’ll give it another go. 7/10

This perfume is spectacular; you’ll get noticed just by wearing it. Everyone always asks me: ‘What do you smell so good, what perfume is it?’ and I don’t tell them >:) haha, because I don’t want them to copy my scent. Undoubtedly it’s irresistible, sweet, tender, sensual, long-lasting and elegant for a woman with class and attitude. I love it
