I was gifted a decant and tried it today. What a terrible fragrance. Perhaps I’m just not used to oud, but for something to smell good, you need to ‘train’ your nose… It’s synonymous with walking around stinking and repelling people. The moment I put it on, it seemed like a bad, coarse, harsh scent, like a meaningless mix of many things. After a few seconds I thought, ‘Aventus with roses?’ I don’t know, it seems so, but there’s something smoky and sweet that reminded me of Aventus for an instant. Right now, my arm smells like a septic grave with roses.
