Jeu d’Amour Félin is a forward-thinking yet poor version of the original Flowers by. The strawberry and clementine pass by at first to give way to roses, jasmine, and neroli, which settle thanks to the noble musk. The patchouli and amber are fine. I thought it would be stronger, but it didn’t drive me mad. The black colour of the bottle makes it look too small.
Very sensual. A nocturnal and winter aroma.
It’s a vibrant fragrance with pineapple notes but without being sweet. In the end, after a few minutes, it leaves a very intense, clean soapy scent that lingers, leaving the initial citrus notes behind.
On my skin, the strawberry lingers for ages. It has nothing to do with the daytime versions; it’s for night, sweet and sour yet fresh, with a powdery touch. The neroli goes almost unnoticed and is what keeps it fresh alongside the patchouli. Unlike the other Jeu d’Amour scents, this is a world of its own. I stick with the classic: it smells of ripe, sour strawberry with a slight hint of pineapple, not artificial. It lasts just three hours, with a moderate trail that really stands out.
It’s a beautiful fragrance that I don’t understand why has so few reviews. It’s ideal for cold weather and night, with incredible trail and longevity. Forget summer; I tried it during the day and in the heat, I felt suffocated with just two sprays. Strawberry, neroli, and patchouli: pure exquisite delight.
I’ve just finished the last few millilitres of this gem that I’ve kept for years to avoid running out. Although I’m not a huge fan of Kenzo, this one won me over instantly. The strawberries with neroli, a sweet amber base, and hints of patchouli and musk make it perfect. I’ve realised that strawberries and flowers on my skin are a winning combination. If I see it on offer, I’ll definitely buy it again.
