Now that coffee or lavender with citrus, vanilla, etc. seems to be back in fashion, I am here to champion this great fragrance that is already around 24 years old and that even with a certain “vintage” feel and without the sweetness of the golden elixirs could totally pass as a modern perfume. One of the loveliest lavenders I have smelt in a long time, with a coffee subtly bathed in vanilla that is a real delight, perfectly balanced, mature, elegant and of excellent quality. It brings back memories of my childhood, the lemons in the kitchen basket, freshly made coffee, the scent of lavender kept in wardrobes full of clean laundry… It’s terribly charming.

Yes! Tell off this miracle more often. I’ll give it a good thrashing! So it’s not for everyone and I’ll smell it less often on others))))) And seriously… Fragrance that smells expensive, gourmand, soft, enveloping, silky, with notes of coffee and tobacco, with a subtle boozy note. That’s how it seems to me. The fragrance never gets boring. Pleasing. The scent fades quietly with the audibility of almost all the initial components except the citrus. The drydown cannot be mistaken for anything else, it is “branded”. I know of no analogues. The longevity on a handkerchief is phenomenal, I hear it for up to 3 days. From time to time when not in use I bring my nose to the bottle more than anything else, it hypnotises me. Once I heard of its similarity to Bentley for Men and thought you hear all sorts of things before bed, then you cannot sleep. Everything written refers to the first edition in a clear bottle. PS. After reading Mr. MonoT’s comment, I confirm that the first edition fragrance (in a clear bottle with dome cap) lasts 6-8 hours on me depending on the weather.

I think it is one of the most underrated perfumes. I do not know what is going on, how can you not like it? The high price? You would think Tom Ford, Creed and Amouage have cheap perfumes, but among them there are some that are not bravissimo to put it mildly, but cost at least ten pounds. Maybe Eisenberg should have done something with the advertising, with the presentation of his line. I do not know. The top notes are divine, 10 out of 10!!! Middle and base notes 8 out of 10. The sillage is spot on, checked, especially checked! )) The longevity will not be phenomenal, but it is not like Demeter. One hundred per cent good unisex. I would go mad if I smelt it on a girl)). I would like to sing odes to it but they would not understand me… and that is a pity…. For those who have not tried it – do not look at the reviews. Maybe it will not become a masterpiece for you, but surely your tongue will not turn to say it is rubbish. You would have to be a rare pervert to curse José )) P.S. There were scathing reviews on the forum, the thread was purely about Eisenberg.

The smell is very clean, atmospheric and very subtle – you cannot break it into notes all at once: fresh notes of mint, citrus and wormwood are obvious at first. A few minutes later coffee and lavender emerge. Sandalwood, patchouli, a little amber and musk can be heard in the base. Overall, the perfume is light and transparent: no miles of sillage or components that hit the nose, but the feeling that it is close does not go away. In short: a fragrance for oneself for a particular mood.

Sweet, thick, very oily, buttery aroma of coffee and lavender. Grass and citrus literally for the first 10 minutes, then monotonous for 5 hours. After 7 hours, a mouth-watering sandalwood base with the lightest hint of coffee, but very, very close to the skin. The female version on me is almost immediately sour with musk, so I can feel the difference.

I just read the review by (scenturian), he hits the nail on the head, here in Germany I only see the edp, I’ve never seen this bottle, the bottle of the edp version is black, it looks like Diabolique, Le peche and the others. Very good. Mostly a mix of lavender and coffee. A bit like Armani attitude extreme, givenchy play, in that direction. It’s damn charming and a bit pricey. 50ml for 75€. But if you have the cash, go and get it.

Eisenberg Jose, like me. Somewhat alcoholic opening, fresh, dry and a bit sharp, citrus. Coffee very in the background… I can barely perceive it, must be my recent rhinitis. Amber and lavender, touch of vanilla. It takes on a powdery character, a flicker of wood appears. It’s sweeter than bitter but not “sugary,” tonka, it briefly and fleetingly reminds me of J´S Exte. It’s not invasive, doesn’t seem to have much projection. Designer quality perhaps in the mid-high segment. Occasions; versatile. It suits me better in cool to cold climate or weather. I’ve been wearing this fragrance for a short time and can’t say much more without making things up. Edit: Now I perceive a light jasmine scent…

Sounds like a more polished, higher-quality version of Rochas Man. The performance is fair, just like the original.

Like Eisenberg Jose: an alcoholic opening, fresh, dry, and slightly sharp with citrus. The coffee is very in the background, almost imperceptible, likely due to my recent rhinitis. Then comes the amber and lavender with a touch of vanilla. It takes a powdery turn and a flash of wood appears. It is sweeter than bitter, but not cloying, with tonka. It briefly and fleetingly reminds me of J’S Exte. It is not invasive and doesn’t seem to have much projection. Designer quality in the mid-to-high segment. It is versatile, but works better for me in fresh or cold weather. I’ve worn it for little while and can’t say much more without inventing. Edit: I now detect a faint jasmine note.
