It’s called ‘Arabian Smoke’ and it fits perfectly. It’s spices, frankincense, and the scent of a solitary rose drifting through the desert. Straight out of the bottle, you can clearly detect cumin and coriander; over time, the frankincense and cardamom take control. As it dries down, it becomes slightly creamy, thanks to the vanilla. It brings back memories of opening a treasure, strolling through the desert, a spice market in the Middle East, mystery, spirituality, and sensuality. It shares with Amouage Interlude that same frankincense and depth, but whereas Interlude is resinous, liturgical, and spiritual, La Fumée Arabie is dry, sensual, and spiced. The longevity is brutal, lasting over 12 hours.
