A total masterpiece: an incredible fruity opening, sweet and sensual. The melon note is very present, pure art. Ideal for spring, summer, and sunny days; it smells clean and is totally unisex.
Le Parfum de Therèse is a personal gift from Roudniska to his wife, which his son later gave to the world via Malle. This master of balance mixes fruits and flowers like no other, creating chypres my nose will never forget. The opening is juicy and refreshing: orange, aquatic melon, and an aldehydic touch that unites plum with a deep, elegant rose. Everything comes out soft and polished. I detect a base of oakmoss (perhaps due to leather, vetiver, and cedar) that turns the dry-down into a delicate chypre, nothing acidic, with that classic mossy touch of citrus eau de toilettes that extends the fragrance. It is exquisite, delicate, and wonderful. The longevity is good, with a soft to moderate sillage; although unisex, it shines more on feminine skin. A masterpiece by Roudniska that revives the classic chypre and is, for me, one of his best works. 9.4/10
