  I haven’t tried many Oriza L. Legrand scents (only Reve d’Ossian, Horizon, Mousse Chypre and this gem), but this is undoubtedly the best! It follows the line of Baccarat Rouge 540, though it performs slightly less. It smells sweet, like sugar or cotton candy, over a classic cologne base. As it dries down, the sweetness fades and becomes subtle and elegant. I believe it’s unisex and suitable for everyday wear. If you like sweets, it’s worth trying! Scent: 10, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 6, Value for Money: 8, Versatility: 9, Originality: 8, Overall: 9.5.

  I have ordered the entire Oriza L. Legrand range and am reviewing each one. Starting with Le Regent: upon spraying, it recalls the classic 4711 with sweet resins (at first it may seem like something for an older lady, but once dried, it is totally unisex). In the middle, the vanilla settles with talcum powder and almond (not declared, but they are there). At the end, the classic cologne base and the long-lasting resins remain, alongside the talcum powder and a softened vanilla, at which point a slight leather note appears. It smells notable for the first 3 hours, then fades but clings to the skin incredibly well, lasting between 8 and 10 hours, and even after a shower. Oriza L. Legrand is true niche quality, with unique fragrances at a fair price. Le Regent proves it: exquisite, elegant, vintage, and with a sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm like modern scents.

  Le Regent opens with resins over powdery vanilla, with a faint hint of citrus-floral and a nod to sour milk in the distance. Despite this marked sweetness, it retains a luminous transparency, making it perfect for spring. What I love most is its delicate tenderness, smelling of freshly bathed baby skin with cologne and talcum powder. It achieves this without losing its oriental character, a masterful touch.
