Descripción

Les Exclusifs de Chanel 31 Rue Cambon by Chanel is a woody-chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 2007, this composition was created by perfumer Jacques Polge. Its top notes of bergamot, black pepper, and green accents provide a vibrant opening; the heart reveals the elegance of iris, ylang-ylang, and rose; while the base settles with the warmth of patchouli and labdanum.

  • Boy.Capel

Without knowing anything about its history, the first time I smelled it I thought: ‘If Paris were a woman, she would smell like this’…

  • Kirtash, or rather Boy Capel, what beautiful words for this work of art. I fell in love at first sight because before even smelling it, I had a hunch I would adore it, which doesn’t happen often with a fragrance. Ohhh, 31 Rue Cambon, you are a work of art, a chypre among chypres, a woman in every sense. When I wear it for the first time, I am transported to the Song of Songs, to that orchard full of juicy fruits, aromatic ointments and flowers with all possible passion, intimacy and unique phrases of love between Solomon and his beloved. It is a romantic fragrance, a poem, a love book, a scent to make it your own while identifying with it. No need to waste time analysing notes, oh no, it’s like good coffee: when you drink it, it doesn’t matter where it came from; what matters is enjoying it because you never know if it will return to your lips again. I don’t want to compare it to Allure Sensuelle, but I know Rue Cambon has earned a very special place in my life. It’s worth its price and more; the longevity is very good and the sillage decent, meaning it doesn’t shout ‘I’m here!’, but it is felt. Fragantica friends in Spanish, try this delicacy, especially if you love chypres like me.

  • Kirtash, that is Boy Capel, what beautiful words for this art. I fell in love instantly; it wasn’t a coincidence, it was a premonition. 31 Rue Cambon is a masterpiece, a chypre among chypres, a real woman. My first use took me to the Song of Songs: an orchard of fruits, ointments and flowers with all the passion, intimacy and love of Solomon. It is romantic, a poem, a love book to make it your own. Don’t waste time analysing notes; enjoy it like good coffee: the origin doesn’t matter, what matters is savouring it, you never know if it will return. I don’t compare it to Allure Sensuelle, but Rue Cambon has a very special spot. It’s worth it and more: good longevity, decent sillage, it doesn’t shout ‘I’m here!’, but it is felt. Fragantica friends, try this delicacy, especially if you love chypres.

  • Delicious… I picked it up at the Florence boutique and fell in love at first sniff. At first glance it seems classic, but the quality is something else entirely, truly uncommon and luxurious. A sharp citrus stands out alongside an iris that is super creamy rather than powdery. The rose appears towards the end, and the patchouli leaves a delicious, creamy trail. For me, it’s a discovery: sophisticated, classic yet not old-fashioned; on the contrary, it’s avant-garde and not for beginners. Ideal for autumn or cold days when I want to feel special with a scent that is a jewel. With this… compliments are guaranteed, hehe.

  • 31 Rue Cambon is a scent I struggle to categorise, as it doesn’t quite fit the chypre mould. It opens with a soft citrus note (I’d guess bergamot rather than pure lemon) with a green touch. Then the labdanum hits hard; that’s what I notice most, giving it a resinous air. Finally, a very refined and shy patchouli, true to the house style. It doesn’t hook me entirely, but I admit it’s a lovely fragrance.
