Live in Love by Oscar de la Renta is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2011, this composition was created by Jean-Marc Chaillan, Carlos Benaïm and Ann Gottlieb. In its opening, the scent unfolds a vibrant bouquet of valley lily, hyacinth, bergamot, galbanum and orchid. The heart of the fragrance reveals floral elegance with jasmine, African orange blossom and rose. Finally, the base settles on a warm and persistent foundation of Virginia cedar, musk, sandalwood, woody notes and amber.

Citrusy and floral, with bergamot and African orange blossom at full strength, while the musk adds that defining animal touch.
It has a very particular scent and doesn’t go unnoticed. I like it for daytime; it seems strong but on the skin it becomes very soft. Moreover, it’s long-lasting and has a moderate sillage. I like it.

Live in Love seemed fresh and slightly green to me. At first I sense lots of citrus, an orange scent, then it comes out sweet and softens until it becomes fresh flowers, smelling of spring. I don’t perceive woody notes on my skin. The downside is that on my skin I don’t smell anything after 2 hours, only on clothes, so I would have to reapply. I think it’s a good option for spring and summer. The bottle design is very pretty.
I absolutely love it; I’ve already bought it about four times and will do so again. For that fresh, green and floral combination which is excellent, I simply can’t do without it for intense summer days. So delicious!

I bought it blind and it couldn’t fail. Green floral, musk, white flowers and woods, everything I love. Very fresh! What a lovely bouquet, nothing heavy but elegant and delicate. It doesn’t overwhelm or bother, but it’s noticeable. It’s my third Oscar de la Renta perfume, fresher and less floral than Something Blue. The musk tones down the flowers without being tiring. The bottle is one of the most elegant; it looks like it costs $200 but comes in much cheaper. I feel like reapplying with the summer here in Chile.

It highlights lily and hyacinth, but I sense a well-balanced floral bouquet, with an acidic fruity touch at the start and a comforting aura throughout its development. Sharp opening but then softens, with medium sillage and 3-4 hours longevity on my skin. I usually layer it with Toy Boy and it works brilliantly. The bottle is elegant and beautiful, I bought it for that. Bon arôme et bonne vie.

It’s very herbal with sophisticated touches; on my skin it doesn’t smell powdery or talcum-like, I think it depends on my skin type, nothing citrusy for me. A good option if you want to step out of the ordinary.
