  We are talking about the 2019-2020 edition. If you are lovers of pure ylang-ylang, this is for you. It opens with an innocent, citrusy apple, but do not be fooled. After half an hour, the ylang-ylang dominates in all its splendour: spectacular power and sillage, use with caution, it is ultra-concentrated. After two hours, the apple returns to join the ylang-ylang, creating a super-different and overwhelming aroma. It is not for the timid.

  I detect the citrus and lemon grass; it also has a touch of talcum powder with a hippie vibe that I like. The powdery note gives a feeling that it’s for older, tender, and lovely women of that age. It lasted 12 hours on my arm. I don’t detect the apple, jasmine, or cinnamon. I wouldn’t buy it.

  While I adore Lush perfumes, this ‘Love’ simply didn’t work for me. It opens with a very sharp citrus and almond mix. Then, the cinnamon explodes, incredibly potent, paired with the apple in the heart, sitting over a floral base of jasmine with a hint of ylang-ylang that I barely detect. In the end, only the cinnamon remains. The projection and longevity are beastly, lasting over 10 hours, but for my sensitive nose, which can take quite a bit, it feels excessive. It seems more like an air freshener to seek out winter warmth than a skin scent. Scent 3.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 4/10, Versatility 3/10, Packaging 5/10. Would I buy again? No.
