Love Me by The New Dawn: Powdery Musk, Rose and Woods

Love Me by Новая Заря (The New Dawn) is a women's fragrance introduced in 2014 within the Musky Floral Woody group.

The composition moves from a neat aldehydic lift to an ample floral and fruity middle, settling on woods, amber and incense.

At the top are aldehydes, rose and bergamot. The impression is bright and faintly soapy, the citrus sharpening the rose before the aldehydic veil softens it.

The middle gathers violet, patchouli, pink pepper, vetiver, apple, peach, jasmine, clove and ylang-ylang. Expect violet powder alongside vetiver greenness, orchard fruit and a whisper of warm spice.

Underneath lie woody notes, incense, amber, patchouli, moss, sandalwood and natural vanilla. These underpin its woody, amber, smoky, balsamic, fresh and powdery character.

With an average of 3.71 from 5 across 329 ratings, it comes across as an approachable, day-to-day rendering of the genre rather than a bold statement.

It should appeal to wearers fond of soft musky florals, powdery rose and violet with fruity ease and a mellow amber and incense finish.

In short, Love Me follows a familiar arc: crisp opening, plentiful heart, comforting drydown. Well suited to those who favour tidy, powdery musks with a lightly sweet warmth.
