  It’s strange that a perfume almost 15 years old has so few votes. It was born in the early 2000s and is a real knockout. Pure raspberry, nothing subtle like Givenchy nor elegant like Gucci II, but raspberry through and through, macerated until it’s a thick liqueur with hints of vanilla and patchouli. Just like that, without mercy. It’s intoxicating and gourmet, but I see it as linear, with no surprises. It saturates from the very first moment and has a strong trail and an eternal longevity that other fragrances can only envy. By the way, the bottle is a work of modern art.

  This was a real find. Luxury quality, fixation and longevity. It resembles Guerlain’s Black Perfect when dry. It opens with red fruits and flowers, then becomes darker and sweeter without being overpowering, leaving space for top-tier tonka, amber and patchouli. I was hugely surprised.

  Apparition caught me off guard. I was thinking of something sweet or fruity, but it smells of spices, I think pepper, something very new and rare. Then come the flowers, little rose, perhaps passionfruit, and it closes with a powerful scent without being vanilla. I keep using it to see how it evolves, because it doesn’t change much, perhaps due to the notes. The box is lovely with carved details and the bottle looks like a building with raised mosaic tiles. It’s pretty and original, just like the scent. It doesn’t win me over, but it’s a good perfume to break with the usual.

  I picked it up this week along with two others. It doesn’t suit me badly, but it smells like a coquettish lady over 60. It’s rich and long-lasting, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
