What a cool perfume, super feminine and elegant, truly unique. I started with the 30ml version and went absolutely crazy for the scent because it lasts all day; even after showering, it still lingers and projects massively. I had to fork out a small fortune to find the original 100ml version, but I managed to get it. Without a doubt, I’d buy it a thousand times over.

To be honest, I was gifted this, and since I’d already received Be Delicious, smelling My NY left me feeling disappointed… The scent hit me all at once, very musky and patchouli-heavy; I don’t see where people get the fruity or sweet idea… Personally, it gives me a headache, even though I tolerate CK Obsession’s animalic notes just fine… But My NY is different… 👎. P.S., I’ve used it about 25% less. Selling it, contact me on Telegram @Ivonn335.

To be honest, it was a gift, as I had previously been given Be Delicious, so when I smelled My NY I felt let down. I sensed the entire scent attacking, musky and patchouli-heavy; I do not understand where they get the idea that it is fruity or sweet. Particularly, it gives me a headache, and that although I tolerate CK Obsession with its animalic notes well… but My NY does not. PS, I used it 25% less. I am selling it, contact me on Telegram @Ivonn335.

Ever since I saw the bottle in an ad, I fell in love and knew I had to have it; it’s one of my favourites, a beautiful representation of New York in a heart-shaped bottle. As for the fragrance, I adored it; it’s different from what I usually wear in my perfumes, which has me very happy. It’s a fruity, fresh, and sexy blend; it reminds me slightly of Coco Mademoiselle, which is why I love it. The downside is that on me, it only lasts two hours and the trail is light, but I’m not bothered as I can easily reapply. I bought it on offer and I’m pleased; it’s a lovely, different, and versatile scent that I’d use in any season, day or night.

  5. It comes across as fruity and charming… lasts about two hours and then fades away.

I loved this fragrance when I first tried it via a sample; it’s one of those perfumes you smell and feel you can’t live without. It seemed supremely feminine and sexy, smelling of red berries without giving me a headache like most perfumes with that note do; as time passes, the patchouli comes through, becoming a sweet and earthy aroma haha, I don’t know if I’m explaining it well, but that’s how I perceive it. I wouldn’t recommend it for hot days as it’s very sweet and strong, potentially overwhelming. I used it a lot when I received it and even got compliments for wearing it; now I don’t use it as much, but it’s a good option if you like sweet perfumes without them being gourmand.

I bought this perfume blind, looking for red fruits like raspberry to wear in winter, and I was hugely disappointed. The patchouli dominates everything; the raspberry is barely perceptible, I only detect the patchouli and the pepper. It feels heavy, common and powdery.

The raspberry is barely noticeable; you only feel the patchouli and the pepper. It feels heavy, common, and powdery.

I find it pleasant and feminine. It smells mainly of patchouli, raspberry, and pink pepper; it’s a light and fruity fragrance. Despite being sweet, it doesn’t manage to be cloying or overpowering; however, I consider it somewhat generic. It’s suitable for informal occasions and can be worn in spring or summer as it tends to be fresh. Regarding its longevity, it’s moderate, and the trail is soft; I consider it a very personal fragrance. I acquired it at a good price (in a set), so I recommend it only if you can find it at an affordable price.

It’s a rich perfume, though somewhat sweet and strong. However, just smelling it reminds me of New York. After a few hours, I find it quite powdery and not so sweet.

I was looking for a fruity and citrusy aroma, which are usually what catch my attention; I liked this for its presentation, but once I had it at home, it started to seem a bit strong, yet I still wore it, until one day I had it on and a friend started coughing, presumably due to the intense aroma. To be honest, it doesn’t disgust me, but it’s not one of my favourites or special ones; it’s something to use occasionally. I was encouraged to buy it because I love Donna Karan’s Be Delicious perfume; I don’t know why I didn’t buy that instead.

New York conceived as fresh nurseries full of raspberry trees and ornamental pots of patchouli, where trucks with boxes of pink pepper imported from Miami are parked at the entrance and you smell them as soon as you enter. I would have preferred if the concept focused (under the purpose of maintaining the trend of red fruit scents) on the iconic New York strawberry/raspberry cheesecake dessert… Still, it’s not a bad aroma…

New York smells like fresh nurseries with raspberries and patchouli, but upon entering, you feel boxes of pink pepper from Miami. I would have loved for it to focus more on an iconic strawberry/raspberry cheesecake of the city, but still, it’s not a bad scent.

  14. I disagree with the notion that this is just a sweet, generic scent for beginners. To me, it smells mature, sexy, and unisex. That masculine touch is addictive. It’s my daytime version of L’extase, which I adore.

  15. I disagree with those who say it’s sweet and only for young girls. To me, it smells adult, sexy, and even unisex. That masculine touch is almost addictive. For me, it’s the daytime version of L’Extase, which I adore.

I bought the set with the cream some time ago. The bottle has charm: pink and silver, mimicking a city. It lasts on skin and clothes; raspberry, patchouli, and a hint of red pepper dominate. Sweet but not cloying.

I’ve seen negative reviews, but I love it for spring and summer. It seems sweet, fresh, and spicy all at once—a good combination. Donna Karan perfumes are easy to wear and usually please everyone. I recommend it.

DKNY My NY and I simply do not get along; it seems designed to deceive young people, but who believes they cannot distinguish a good perfume from a mediocre one? It feels as though they assume all girls only like poor, fruity and caramel scents. To me, it is a null and unbalanced proposal: raspberry, patchouli and pink pepper dominate, yet they do not harmonise on my skin. It smells like a body mist and they failed to pull it off. I hope it is just chemistry, but its longevity and trail left me stranded. For me, it is a definite no.

DKNY My NY and I simply don’t get along. It seems made for a younger audience, but who thinks young people don’t enjoy a good perfume? It doesn’t smell of cheap fruity candies. To me, it’s a null and unbalanced proposal: raspberry, patchouli, and pink pepper dominate without harmonising. It smells like a poorly executed body mist. The longevity and sillage left me wanting. For me, it’s a no.

I’ve read that the advertising with Rita Ora makes people think it’s for teenagers, but I believe it’s perfect for the twenties. It’s the sophisticated scent for that new life stage. At first, it’s strong and spicy due to the pepper and galbanum, then it shifts to floral and feminine with patchouli and vanilla, always highlighting the raspberry. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous and looks great in any room.

I’ve read that it was expected to be more youthful due to the advertising and Rita Ora, but in my opinion, it is youthful, just not for sixteen or eighteen-year-olds. I think it’s perfect for twenty-somethings: a sophisticated scent to start that new chapter and see the world differently. At first, it’s strong; the red pepper and galbanum make it spicy, then it shifts to floral and feminine with patchouli and vanilla. What stands out most is the raspberry, present throughout. It’s suitable for several seasons. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous from every angle, making a great decoration, and it’s already one of my favourites.

I loved it. I agree it’s very similar to Si Lolita; it made me sneeze at first, but over time I grew to like the aroma more.

I tried it by chance on a Friday; a colleague had the miniature and encouraged me to try it, even though I was wary of the patchouli. What a surprise! I loved it immediately. It settles into a persistent sweet raspberry and patchouli with great longevity. I’ve been searching for something like this for months, and after trying gems like Viva la Juicy or Lolita, this one came along and captivated me. Although it sounds cutesy, good perfumes find you. It reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle but softer and more balanced. I ♥ My Ny!

  26. I tried it and found it unpleasant. Perhaps I was disappointed because I expected something sexy and bold: the bottle and advertising promised something mischievous and fun. In my opinion, it’s like most fashion perfumes: sweet, but with a slight ‘salty’ touch, perhaps from the pink pepper or some other notes. It feels unbalanced to me, nothing bold, just boring. It’s my personal opinion and I’m not trying to discredit the fragrance. Every perfume has its followers, and everyone chooses their own. DKNY’s ‘My NY’ has medium longevity and medium sillage.
