I was looking for Modern Muse and found it in its Le Rouge version. I bought it without hesitation and loved the surprise. It lasts forever, smells like vintage cosmetics, is sensual yet discreet, and lingers in the room for hours afterwards. It’s passionate, heavily centred on raspberry and rose, and I’d buy it a million times over.

I’ve had it for years and bought it again last week. A few months ago I tried SÍ FIORI, which is a different style, but this time I liked it much more; I get a super fruity dry-down. An absolute delight.

On my skin, it smells very much like Mon Paris due to that red fruit note with its plasticky touch and patchouli, but here the roses take centre stage, musky and powdery, very sensual. The trail and longevity are moderate.

I like Modern Muse Le Rouge; it’s not innovative but I like it, it’s pleasant to my nose. Opening of red berries with very distinct blackcurrant, then raspberry, followed by the star rose, and finally a soft vanilla. It doesn’t have great evolution, it’s not the eighth wonder nor does it break any moulds; it’s a perfume similar to others with roses and red berries, but pretty, easy to wear and suits any occasion.

I like Modern Muse Le Rouge. It’s nothing innovative, but I appreciate it; it’s pleasant to my nose. It opens with red fruits, the blackcurrant very sharp, then the raspberry, and within minutes the rose enters as the protagonist, with a soft vanilla base. It doesn’t have much evolution, doesn’t break any rules, is similar to other rose and red fruit scents, but it’s pretty, easy to wear and suits any occasion.

I’ve never liked the Modern Muse range; I haven’t found any interesting ones. I was given a miniature of this; the cap looks like a pink peppercorn, so I give it credit for creativity. Olfactorily, it’s simple, sweet but well-executed. It has the notes it claims: blackcurrant, rose, raspberry, and within minutes vanilla, jasmine and magnolia. Finally, vetiver and patchouli, all in harmony. It smells young, romantic, with a spark, light, unpretentious, coherent and delivers what it promises. A good option for heat or daytime.

I didn’t like it at all. I can smell a lot of alcohol; it’s very strong. I bought it blindly based on the notes and it was nothing like what I expected; I wanted something delicate, rose-scented and sweet. Disappointing!

Elegant, feminine and with good longevity; I like it very much, especially because it was a gift from my mother. I recommend it for evening wear.

I adore red lips; they are my favourite vice for that erotic and elegant touch… I sought that magic in this Estee Lauder fragrance but couldn’t find it. Nothing like my desires! It is a floral-fruity scent, very musky and suitable if you want something pretty, but it lacks that enigmatic charm. I left it on the dressing table and opted for some Envy lipsticks from the same brand. Longevity and sillage are acceptable; it feels more youthful than the original Modern Muse.

What a wonderful fragrance! It was exactly what I was looking for after trying the classic. It begins with red fruits, moves to flowers where I detect rose and carnation, then an undisclosed musk and excellent vanilla. The advertising with Kendall Jenner is top; she looks stunning and it suits her perfectly; her style matches the perfume. It has similarities with Nina Ricci’s Lextase and 212 VIP Rose. I loved it immensely and I would love to smell it on someone. Simply superb, worth it!
