  1. I’ve just discovered Sephora’s exclusive line (at least around here). Commmodity is like a toy for perfume lovers, where you can ‘create’ your own scent by blending bases, notes, and heart accords. The concept is appealing, but I think they should have been more purist in some of them, like this sample I have: magnolia dominates, yet the other elements (there are quite a few) alter the expected scent. As for trail and longevity, they perform well; on skin they last a decent 5–7 hours, and on dry days the trail radiates beyond you, making it noticeable to those nearby or passers-by. It’s a bit pricey to play at being a perfumer since you need at least three bottles, costing around $300 in total. I think if they sold mini sets with at least five fragrances, it would be more accessible for anyone wanting to explore the concept.
