About Melting Flowers
Melting Flowers, Contrapposto's Soft-Focus White Bouquet
Melting Flowers by Contrapposto arrives in 2026 as a fragrance for women and men, created by perfumer Frank Voelkl.
The composition moves from a bright fruity spiced lift towards a powdery floral centre resting on pale woods and musk.
Nectarine, cinnamon and pink pepper open the scent. The fruit lends a luminous juiciness, the spices a gentle warmth with a peppery glint.
In the middle, gardenia comes to the fore beside Egyptian jasmine, with violet lending a powdery softness. The result is an opulent yet tidy white floral, creamy rather than sharp.
Underneath lie AMBROX® SUPER, white cuaba flower — amyris wood —, Australian sandalwood, musk and Virginia cedar. These base notes give a cosy, smooth foundation.
Taken together, it feels floral and woody with a musky, faintly warm spiced character, clear at first and increasingly mellow as it settles.
To appeal to wearers who favour a contemporary white floral, creamy and powdery, with restrained spice and light woods, in a balanced unisex register.
Melting Flowers offers a well-judged comforting floral in which gardenia and jasmine dissolve into sandalwood, amyris and musk with a velvety close.
