  • I detect a strong note of amber, peach honey, and a hint of rose. It is not a sweet gourmand, but rather fruity and floral. After a week of wear, the projection lasts about four hours and longevity is eight to nine hours. I work in a small office; I stepped out briefly and upon returning, I smelled quite strongly of My Burberry Black. If you enjoy fragrances that leave a trail, this is an excellent choice.

  • My Burberry Black boasts impressive elegance and potency, lingering on clothes for months. It opens with a voluptuous jasmine, yielding to a creamy heart of rose and peach in honey; the dry down is a wonderfully dense patchouli and amber. Excellent trail with 12 hours of longevity. It is an Oriental Floral for women, launched in 2016. Created by Francis Kurkdjian, it is inspired by the petrichor of English fields. Suitable year-round but shines in autumn and winter, versatile for day or night. Sophisticated, powerful, and seductive.

  • A friend gifted me a sample and I fell in love. It has great sillage, with a floral and oriental character. It smells like a classy, confident woman; its sweet touch is like a caress. For me, it feels like a walk through a garden of exotic flowers. I have purchased two bottles and receive many compliments.

  • NatalyCat

I wanted it so much that I patiently waited for a sale to add it to my collection. It is an elegant, nocturnal fragrance (best avoided in the heat), which on me dries down to a warm vanilla finish. The bottle is exquisite and reflects its sophistication. It is neither artificial nor intrusive; soft yet persistent, indulgent without being overwhelming. It has become the darling of my collection.

  • Excellent longevity and a delightful trail. It strikes a perfect balance between fruity, sweet notes and patchouli; while I don’t detect the florals on my skin, the scent is supremely elegant and draws compliments. I wouldn’t recommend it for hot days, but I would definitely buy it again.

  • Holding and trail are incredible, especially for someone who usually evaporates everything. Very sexy, it smells very similar to L’Extase by Ricci. One of my favourites.

  • Heartofstone

I’m going to be harsh, but my experience with this fragrance is peculiar. I bought it blind after so many good reviews, and the 30ml bottle was lucky. Every time I apply it, I get a headache and people recoil; they say I smell like old wine or liquor on my clothes. No one says ‘you smell great’; quite the opposite, they ask what I’ve put on. The notes don’t convince me, I find it vintage, and my nose isn’t educated enough to appreciate it.

  • La plus belle

Absolutely. You must try it before buying, as wearing it in autumn/winter is not the same as in the middle of summer at 40 degrees. For me, it’s a proper perfume bomb; it smells delicious and people have asked me what I’m wearing.

  • Elegant and romantic, I wear it to feel feminine and attractive. On my skin it is creamy and dense; the amber wraps around the peach until it softens. The trail is moderate at first but lingers for six hours. It doesn’t stand out as much as other reviews suggest, but that charming scent that makes me want to wear it all the time is worth it.

  • Reina Amigdala

A beautiful, elegant and sophisticated fragrance that I love wearing during the day, even in the heat; it doesn’t feel heavy. Although it is very amber-based, on my skin it smells fresh, with notes of jasmine and peach. The longevity is incredible.

  • I loved this fragrance; ideal for going out at night. It smells of ripe, juicy apricots wrapped in a powdery halo with an amber base. A delicious combination! Excellent longevity, over 10 hours on the skin, an eternity on clothes. Moderate and very pleasant trail. 🤍

  • Spectacular. A beautiful ambered peach. Longevity and projection are outstanding. On my skin it projects for 2-3 hours and then stays close to the skin for another 6. In total, about 9-10 hours of fabulous experience. I hope they don’t discontinue it; I need it.

  • I can’t distinguish the individual notes; wearing it feels like having elegant velvet on the skin. I suppose it’s the peach, but it gives a skin sensation rather than a fruity one; it’s rare but almost tangible. The longevity is brutal; I wore it yesterday at 5pm and woke up today at 7am with bursts of scent. The trail is moderate to high, sometimes noticeable from several metres away. Wonderful!

  • This fragrance is in a league of its own. The opening is liquor-like, like a fine, sweet and elegant rum, mysterious, mixed with peach and flowers; it feels super ambered and divine.

  • Sensuality, elegance and femininity. The advert with the woman in the rain on a cold night sums it up perfectly. This is the scent: that sweet apricot balanced with the amber that gives it power and projection, and the patchouli that adds character and longevity. I feel unique, unstoppable and sexy when wearing it. I love it. 💕

  • Unique aroma; I thought it would take a different direction on my skin. The base notes (rose and apricot) dominate from the start. Longevity, trail and projection are top-notch. Almost bought it blindly, glad I could test it first.

  • ZenNatsume

I first encountered it via a decant, thinking it was a dark, potent amber. It took a few days for my skin to fall in love before I bought the full bottle. The amber shines spectacularly, blended with the sweetness of peach, floral jasmine and a touch of rose, all boosted by a seductive patchouli that makes it addictive. Ideal for cold weather, it’s warm, deep and sexy. A unisex feminine fragrance with moderate to intense projection and eternal longevity. It’s a wonder in a heavy, quality bottle, though I wouldn’t buy it blindly.

  • DulceInvierno

Nocturnal elegance in a bottle with a stunning trail. It’s like seductive velvet on the skin. I have no words for this luxury fragrance.

  • Beautiful packaging; the bottle is one of the most elegant in my collection. On my skin, it becomes incredibly sweet without being heavy. I loved it. ♥️

  • Marcus_001

One of my favourite women’s perfumes. Every time I smell it, I feel like spraying it in my mouth. Personally, it smells to me like a dense, dark honey over white flowers and something else that gives it support, like a soft background of white woods. Whatever the case, this perfume heightens a woman’s attractiveness. To be used at night and preferably in cold climates. Longevity and sillage are nuclear.

  • Leslie1602

An exquisite scent! That peach with amber gives that touch to the flowers as if they were dusted with a sweet little liqueur, something creamy. A total delight. It is elegant, very sophisticated, and seductive. It is a more nocturnal than daytime fragrance. Longevity on skin and clothes is vestial. I wouldn’t recommend it as a blind buy; it’s better to test it on skin or at least on paper. I adore it!

  • Andrea perfumona

Thank goodness I didn’t buy it blindly; it’s a patchouli bomb with something that wants to be peach but could also be some red fruit. It’s a scent that reminds me of 80s perfumes I used to hear from my mother’s friends. My husband didn’t like it at all. Apparently, it has good fixation; I even washed my hand and it still smells here. It reminds me of this Belle or One Million Privé by the type of patchouli. I expected to feel an amber explosion, and the truth is I don’t notice it.

  • A very elegant, sexy, and feminine perfume with impressive longevity. Unfortunately, it’s not for me, too intense. I have a 90ml bottle, practically full, that I took from El Corte Inglés in April 2022. If anyone wants to swap, I’d be delighted.

  • I bought this fragrance due to the contradictory reviews I saw, 50 positive and 50 negative, and curiosity won out. I took it out last August in 30ml. Fortunately, I received a 2017 batch that was super concentrated and potent; at first, it only smelled of something fermented and confused me. A month later, I mustered the courage to wear it, still unable to distinguish anything other than a very strong patchouli, and I went to visit a friend. I couldn’t find her, so I went looking for her, and she came out to find me because I left such an impregnated scent that she immediately said, “Angie was here.” I asked what it smelled like, and she said peach jam, super delicious, and I was surprised because I didn’t notice it. In December, I wore it again and my husband went wild, telling me it smelled delicious like a fine, wealthy woman. A week later, I applied it again and he was so fascinated that when we got home he asked for the bottle; I asked why, and he insisted on knowing what it was, until I got angry with crazy jealousy. Today, I only perceive patchouli, peach, and amber, and that 2017 batch lasts 24 hours on skin with high sillage and projection for the first two hours, then drops to medium but is always noticeable. I bought another 90ml bottle as a spare because they say it’s being discontinued; unfortunately, the one that arrived has already been reformulated and is from March 2022, but I spray it several times and let it macerate while I use the other. If you receive the reformulated version or a recent batch, I recommend spraying it and storing it for 4 to 6 months; you’ll see it gains potency and even changes the liquid’s colour. Conclusion: I love it and recommend it 100%.

  • anamaestracorreo

Run, as they are being discontinued! A liar… It was Monday, 19 June 2023, and I passed by El Corte Inglés and they had bottles with batches from two months ago. It seems production has resumed. You can breathe a sigh of relief.

  • Perla Vencis

I bought it because everything I read and heard was good. I won’t deny it smells very feminine. It’s basically an ambered peach with a touch of wood from the patchouli; that’s what I notice most. For me, it’s ideal for autumn nights or romantic dates, as it is very feminine. I wore it for a couple of months, but eventually put it away because, although it’s a lovely scent, I couldn’t find enough occasions to use it.

  • I agree with Angelard, although I haven’t tested previous versions. I bought a 30ml bottle with a 2023 batch, and to be honest, it has disappointed me. I detect no peach whatsoever; it smells more like apricot, synthetic, and heavily ambered. I also don’t sense that earthy patchouli. It lasts hours, but it isn’t that sweet peach with an earthy base I expected. I know it’s a retro classic, but for a sweet peach with a patchouli base, I still prefer Mitsouko EDP.

  • I’ve worn this for years; I ordered it as a gift for my 21st birthday, indecisive between this and Armani Si Intense. It is a beast mode fragrance with incredible longevity and sillage. At the time, I adored it and still do, but I find it so potent that it tires me. I can’t find occasions to wear it as I don’t go out much at night, but I know when the moment comes, I would use it without hesitation. (2017 Version)

  • My Burberry Black is a feminine and elegant blend of amber and peach, possessing a perfect simplicity that projects beautifully and lasts ten hours intact. On winter clothes, it lingers for weeks without being overpowering, delivering the performance of a luxury fragrance. Francis Kurkdjian truly deserves a place of honour in modern perfumery: the beauty of this scent improves with time, becoming more intense. While not identical, if you want something similar without testing it, Givenchy’s Dhalia Divin is a benchmark; both are ambered, fruity, sophisticated, and sober. With continued use, I’ve noticed that MBB and Armani Si Eau de Parfum are distinct yet share a key point: the delightful dry-down in both. The undisputed king is My Burberry Black: the performance is impeccable, the projection turns heads, it smells exquisite and elegant, and the price remains moderate for a designer range. A 10/10, the best performance in my collection and a benchmark when buying other expensive perfumes. Who will love it: amber lovers.

  • I don’t know how the reformulation will be; mine are pre-reformulation, but this is one of the best launches of the last twenty years. Elegant, sexy, nothing vulgar, with impressive longevity and sillage. Generous enough to give and gift; my boyfriend goes crazy for it (although this is secondary, I always perfume myself with what I fancy). I will try to test the reformulated version to give an informed opinion. A true jewel ♥️

  • An amber, mature peach 🫶. It’s the best Burberry I’ve tried so far; I’ve tried many 😁. One must know when to use it; it’s elegant and nocturnal. It should be sprayed sparingly. I believe perfumes lose their charm when we overdo it or use them in inappropriate climates. My Burberry Black will never be missing from my collection 💞

  • I have many perfumes, designer and niche, but this is undoubtedly the best, the only one I keep for special occasions. You look divine with this fragrance, nothing compares to it. I recommend it 1000%.

  • Potent and VERY long-lasting. In a world of fruity-atchoulis, flankers and cheap copies that don’t last two hours, this has its own personality and is noticeable with just two sprays. The most important thing: you may like it or not, but the quality is appreciated. Perhaps it’s a little retro from the 2000s, which is positive for me as I like that era. It doesn’t suit everyone, not a blind buy. Perhaps because I’m not a fan of rose, but one must recognise Kurkdjian’s hand, masterfully combined in a dense amber syrup of patchouli and a ripe peach, almost like a mirabelle plum. Linear, romantic and versatile; the patchouli is potent, wearable and earthy, not chocolatey. My batch is from 2021, macerated, leaves a trail, lasts and isn’t expensive. Today I put on two flits at 7, went to work and after the pool (!) I can still smell it. What can I say, if I put it on early, by noon I try others and this one eats the rest with potatoes. Not even with Delina does it happen. I can smell it all day, it can become overwhelming, so use with moderation. Wonderful potency. Well done.

  • A unisex fragrance, jasmine, amber and patchouli with touches of peach. Little peach, the patchouli is the most prominent, but it’s not an unbearable powerhouse, it’s more like Coco Mademoiselle, more wearable and versatile. A serious, elegant, timeless and nocturnal perfume. It’s not youthful in my opinion (but tastes vary), it doesn’t impress me too much; I’ve worn it for years but use it little. It’s a good perfume, outside the current gourmand trend, but elegant and a proper stinker, that cannot be disputed.

  • Blabbychip94

I didn’t like the opening; the dry-down has a rose that is too potent and the patchouli is very strong. I found it unpleasant.

  • DaviniaTolkien

I hesitated to buy it, but I love the peach note 🍑; I think it’s a before and after in perfumery. However, on my skin I never perceive it, not a trace of peach or amber sweetness… perhaps because I test it in a perfumery with other fragrances nearby. Besides, it reminds me of Kenzo World, by that Francis K whom I still value little; for me it was always artificial and annoying, disappearing in half an hour. My nose is confused by this perfumer; I rarely manage to smell it. I will continue to judge whether it’s worth it, but for now my verdict is NO.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

It has the perfect touch of animality, perfectly balanced with peach and patchouli. A brown beast unisex that leaves me feeling very sensual.

  • My favourite perfume 😍. Ideal for winter, it has incredible projection and I wear it both day and night.

  • What a triumph this perfume is, a true masterpiece by a great master. Notes of peach and rose that smell divine. The longevity is unbelievable; I love wearing it on rainy, cold days 💕
