  I absolutely love this perfume; it has saved me thousands of pounds and brightened up my cold days. It is delicious from the first spray right through to the dry-down, though the scent is simple, lacking much evolution or complexity. It smells of maraschino cherries with amaretto, an almost edible aroma that some might mistake for medicinal syrup, but the truth is it’s not overly sweet; that hint of liquor gives the cherry a little bitterness, and that’s where the magic happens, transforming from liquid cherries to powdered cherry talc before settling into a single dusty rose. Considering the price and the fact that I also wear it to bed, it is undoubtedly the best dupe for Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, which was my favourite winter scent until Fine’ry launched this excellent carbon copy in 2023. Normally, I’m not one to recycle or use dupes, but my last bottle of Lost Cherry had lost its previous projection and sillage, and I dare say Not Another Cherry lasted longer on my clothes. The secret is to give it time to oxidise or macerate and let the delicious notes settle and fix better; for the price, the wait is worth it. I recommend buying it, spraying it into the air, and leaving it for two or three months in a dark, cool place; you’ll thank me later. Once settled, the opening is practically identical; the only difference is that this dries with a dusty rose base, whereas Lost Cherry dries with sweet wood; they last almost the same on clothes (I almost never wear it on skin). As I said, I won’t buy another bottle of Lost Cherry, which is far more expensive and has become massively mainstream over the years; I’m much happier with this creation from Fine’ry.
