I’d never heard anything like it. I tried a sample and realised I liked it more and more with time. In the end, I bought it. Just don’t be put off, that’s for sure.

  • An exquisite, captivating and alluring aroma; it starts very woody and then the oud mixed with patchouli and an earthy touch takes over. It’s not something you’ll commonly smell on the street. If you like oud, it’s a good option; the Odyssey line offers excellent value for money.

  • What rich perfumes, that nutmeg with that musky oud alongside patchouli. The longevity is 12 hours on skin, ideal for winter and autumn nights. Watch out, don’t wear it in full sun or summer. This is a 10/10.

  • It’s becoming my favourite more and more every day. Smells super elegant, masculine and versatile, lasting all day with a very natural scent. It’s brilliant. The oud floats without being heavy, accompanied by incredible spices; I think it’s the best. If you’ve tried Asad, remember that spicy note, but here it’s much more balanced. I don’t understand why people don’t talk about this more, perhaps because of the oud… I don’t know.

  • A masculine aroma of presence, for someone sure of what they want. I don’t consider it versatile, nor would I wear it solely for formal occasions; I’d even dare to use it from casual to semi-formal. Be careful with the number of sprays; this is a bomb, and in enclosed spaces with poor ventilation or air conditioning, it can be invasive and uncomfortable.

  • Basically what everyone else has said: this scent gets richer the more you wear it. It’s not that common and the balance with the oud makes it truly wearable. It’s a masculine fragrance that adds presence. Just be careful with the sprays.

  • Basically what has been said before: this fragrance becomes richer the more you wear it. It’s not so common and the balance with the oud makes it bearable. It’s a masculine fragrance that adds presence. Beware with the sprays.

  • The worst I’ve ever tried; it gives me nausea and disgust, it’s not for everyone, honestly, it gives me headaches and dizziness… I sprayed it twice and gave it away. Edit: I was wrong. The opening the first time was the worst, but I’ve got used to it and even like it now. I didn’t give it away because my wife loved it; she has other designer perfumes and she preferred this one, so I’m keeping it. The scent is maturing and smells better than when it was new. I don’t love it, but it earns compliments and flattery, so I’m keeping it.

It sounds like Sauvage, minus the mandarin. It lacks notes to be very similar, but it gives me that feeling of an incomplete wild elixir. I wouldn’t buy it, but it’s fine for mature people. The packaging is luxurious. I picked it up for $22, a bargain, then the price went up between $36 and $26. Perhaps the oud sets it apart from Sauvage. If you don’t like Sauvage, EDP, Parfum or Elixir, I don’t think you’ll like it. It has quite a bit of nutmeg, which I liked, but I don’t see it fitting the tropical climate where I live, and I prefer Sauvage straight away.

I use it when I’m being cheap and don’t want to wear Haltane; it does its job well.

  • If you don’t like oud, you won’t like this type of perfume. At first, it sounds very much like Supremacy Incense, although it declares other notes. It is potent, has sweetness, but the oud and wood dominate. Although not declared, it smells spicy, not peppery. It’s a delight, but beware: if you don’t like spicy oud, this isn’t for you.

  • Brilliant! Smells incredibly clean. A little dull for daily wear, but it lasts quite a while on the skin. Although it feels refreshing in winter due to its lightness, it’s not for me in summer. It suits men of a certain age; you can tell the ambroxan is present, which for my nose is the star alongside the saffron, which at times smells realistic, like when you add saffron threads to the sofrito for paella. There’s a brilliant sense of cleanliness, the resinous notes never dominate, though they are perceptible. I like it; I see it as a fragrance to please without being the centre of attention. P.S. One reviewer said ambroxan smells like a shiny pearl; that’s the best definition of what it feels like.

It resembles Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud but is more intense, with that sweet and elegant oud.

  • Very good indeed: sweet oud with saffron, but above all well-blended and pleasant. It might not be for everyone, so better to test first. For me, it has a medicinal undertone at the base that I simply adore.

As JKarlos says, if you don’t like oud, forget it; here it reigns supreme, accompanied by wood.
