The quintessential sweet, woody, and musky citrus! This is my first encounter with clary sage in a composition, so I’m unsure of its specific scent. Otherwise, it’s easy to describe: oranges and citrus notes over a clean base of Iso E Super and ambrette musk. For me, these chords are incredibly addictive, especially when combined they create an energising, hyper-clean image without being a classic 100% musky fragrance like Le Labo’s Another 13, Nasomatto’s Silver Musk, or Mathilde Premiere’s Parisian Musk. This one is different and retains more of its citrus character, so it doesn’t fit that category. Are there similar scents? Very few, as it is highly original, but I would say it follows a similar path to Afternoon Swim by LV: clean, subtle, refreshing, with good longevity. Anyone seeking a high-quality orange fragrance, especially in an extrait de parfum, should try this. They share an aura of freshness and summer, though not their complete composition, as both feature orange.
