Velvet Noir sounds glamorous and sensual, yet smells luminous: white flowers, ginger, mandarin and omot at the start, then the oud and rose are very subtle, finishing with a musky note. I thought it would be dark and winter-like, but it’s more suited to autumn or spring. It sounds oriental yet bright, more like the Sultana’s Summer Gardens. A lovely everyday scent.
