It’s a variant of the original Patchouly EDT: a younger, less rigid, and more contemporary patchouli. It opens sweet with a crystalline amber and vanilla touch, evolving into ethereal, natural oriental woods, always with that lasting patchouli presence. Performance is good, though as an EDP it has less longevity than the EDT. It doesn’t lend itself to layering as we’re used to from Etro; it’s best worn alone. Its best feature is its optimistic and sensual character. Ideal for cool temperatures year-round, perfect for modern and elegant men and women. At night, it stands out against more ambroxan-heavy and synthetic scents. The downside? The price, but it’s an honest perfume that’s worth the cost. A well-crafted modern patchouli. On my skin, due to my pH, the vanilla side of the woods comes forward more. A good fragrance.
