  Tested side-by-side with Amouage Reflection: 85% similarity in the opening and 95–98% in the dry-down. I don’t usually give percentages as they’re relative, but that’s what I’m noticing. In the opening, this Killer Oud has a note that Reflection lacks; I checked the notes and it doesn’t quite add up, but it’s nothing unpleasant. It’s a crisp, soapy white floral, just like Amouage. After five minutes, they’re indistinguishable. Good work from Paris Corner, nothing to envy from Reflection. Trust me, you can buy blind. The difference is that in Amouage the floral fades and the iris with sandalwood rises, leaving that impeccable clean laundry and detergent scent. Here, the floral lingers longer, I don’t detect the sandalwood, but it gives the same vibe of cleanliness. Like with some synthetic-sounding Arabic clones, there’s nothing wrong here. I recommend it for the office or with a white suit. It projects tidiness; it’s the delicate, well-groomed man, not the alpha male. Don’t be silly and save yourself some money.

  I tested this head-to-head against Amouage Reflection Man and Paris Corner Killer Oud Revolution is remarkably close, especially in the dry-down. Initially, the rosemary here feels wilder and sharper, whereas Amouage softens it with its orange blossom and jasmine. By 30–45 minutes, the similarity is striking; this Killer Oud balances beautifully with its cedar and sandalwood. It’s a slightly flatter scent with less projection and longevity, but for the price, it’s a ten-out-of-ten buy if you’re after clean, formal fragrances. If Dior or Chanel released it, they’d charge 125–150€ and you’d be blown away. It passes perfectly as a designer scent at three or four times the cost.
