It is the ugliest-smelling perfume I have ever encountered. It appeared one day, previously rejected by two others who simply couldn’t cope with it, and I was the third; it had been stored away for years, and I have no idea who had the nerve to wear it afterwards 🤭. It is intense and persistent, lasting a long time, but it is far too overpowering. One may have preferences for certain olfactory notes, and that doesn’t mean one cannot appreciate a good perfume when it features notes one wouldn’t normally wear, but Rouge de Sinan is an imbalance, an excess of heavy scents, a bomb of woods, leather, and above all tobacco, with nothing fresh, nothing cheerful, nothing youthful. Just recalling the smell to write this gave me a little bit of nausea 🤢
