First and foremost Memo Paris is an excellent house although their prices are higher than the average niche. Russian Leather evokes the extreme winter of Russia blending its forests typical clothing and wildlife. It is immediately identifiable as a fougère due to its green herbal and classic elements. I imagine a white Russian desert entering a mysterious lush forest with exceptional quality wild leather. It is very different from the other Memo leathers a great exploration of the fougère genre alongside leather. A magnificent fragrance for semi-formal moments with a lumberjack look. Performance: enormous even overwhelming. 8/10.
Great perfume like all Memo leathers. As the previous one says it’s a distinct experience. Almost rural due to the green of its notes. I dare to say it’s a cold scent unlike the animality of other leathers but beware of that. This is the opening; as it dries the leather arrives in all its splendour: refined potent and of great quality amidst vegetal notes that make it exceptional and distinct. Definitely one of the most versatile Memo leathers. A cologne you must have. Great scent incredible performance and outstanding versatility. 10/10.
A great perfume like all Memo leathers. It’s a distinct experience almost rural due to the green of its notes. It’s a cold scent different from the animality of other leathers. It starts this way but as it dries the leather comes into its own splendour: refined potent and of great quality amidst vegetal notes that make it exceptional and unique. Finally enjoying another work from Memo Paris experts in recreating olfactory landscapes in exquisite bottles. Russian Leather is clearly a fougère atmosphere elegant classy and mature yet versatile. Although both sexes can wear it the balance tips to the masculine side. The scent dances between faint damp woods nothing piercing with cool dark and lush green tones with a slight mineral touch. It’s like being at dusk on a steep snow-covered mountain full of centenary pines that barely let the moonlight through while a winter breeze brings the scent of ferns mainly lavender and basil giving it a slightly sweet and mentholated nuance. In the background the leather is extremely subtle. I don’t notice many changes as it dries but honestly I don’t care; it’s a magnificent perfume that will certainly go on my shelf. Moderate projection and durability of about 7 to 8 hours.
Finally enjoying another work from Memo Paris experts in recreating olfactory landscapes in their exquisite bottles. Russian Leather is an elegant fougère fragrance classy and mature yet versatile; although both genders can wear it it leans more towards the masculine. The scent dances between soft damp woods nothing piercing with cool dark and lush green tones with a slight mineral touch as if it were dusk on a snow-covered mountain filled with ancient pines under the moon stirred by a winter breeze bringing the scent of ferns lavender and basil giving it a sweet and mentholated nuance. Leather appears in the background in a very subtle way. I don’t notice major changes as it dries but honestly it doesn’t matter; it’s a magnificent perfume that will definitely go on my shelf. Moderate projection and lasts about 7 to 8 hours.
Smells like pantheon flowers in winter! Delicious nostalgic and with a melancholic touch that hooks you.
Russian Leather by Memo is an olfactory journey that deepens with time. I first encountered it alongside Amouage as a very rugged leather but it’s actually a fougère with incredible nuances. It evokes a cold damp forest where you wrap yourself in a worn leather jacket full of stories ready for the next adventure. Notes of basil lavender nutmeg and woods with a touch of mint that refreshes the perfectly crafted leather by Memo create an interesting effect. As it dries the camphorated accord rises giving it that typical darkness. It isn’t excessively green like others from the brand but rather balanced mature and masculine (though everyone would enjoy it). Ideal for temperate to cold climates and semi-formal looks it takes you exactly where you want to go. Excellent scent one of the best from the brand. Rating: 8.5/10 Thanks to Maison Niche Chile.
I’ve tried many fragrances for cold weather, and in my top 3, I will definitely buy the 75ml; it is this Russian Leather. The aroma, contrary to what the name and bottle suggest, is incredibly soft, warm and sweet; on my skin, it has a curious effect where Iso E Super appears and disappears suddenly, giving it a playful and mysterious touch. Moving to the sensation, we encounter a very subtle but present leather, where the other notes serve to create a feeling of a super-luxury car interior combined with high-end floral fragrance. Now… while the olfactory experience was incredible, we are talking about a perfume costing nearly 8,000 pesos ($400) whose projection and longevity are similar to an EDT despite being an EDP. My wife couldn’t smell it after 4 hours (it was a day of much outdoor physical activity, Christmas shopping), although I highlight the quality of the ingredients and the way the leather note was approached so elegantly yet somewhat dirty, with a romantic hint that positions it perfectly for couples (8.5/10).

Aromatic leather, fresh, fougère, thanks to notes of cypress, pine, basil and lavender. I would define it as a perfume that feels fresh, but underneath, leather pulses giving it body and power. It has an adult vibe, more so than other scents from the brand in that style, such as Irish Leather (which follows that same green leather wave).
Memo Paris Russian Leather: After debating with my wife over the price of this fragrance, I had no choice but to invest in something she also desires. I perceive it as herbal and woody, a burst of woodland scent among shrubs, pine and cedar… but there’s a wave of freshness like mint, sumptuously masculine, with a sublime yet subtle raw leather, as if hidden, always there, like a deer or a servant concealed in the undergrowth where damp, cold earth is felt; the deer watches you and you never see it, but you know it’s there. This perfume is the magic of observation with the nose. Not only is it observed, but it also gives a sensation of cold; only a forest at the foot of a snowy mountain can offer that. The combination of lavender, mint, woods and subtle leather creates that effect: a very masculine and classic impression, but not lordly. It’s not for lads; it’s another level, for a man aged 30 and above. Every time I use it, I discover more; it’s the pure masculinity of a virile, solitary woodsman in his cabin, which is why I think of the logo. An intriguing, mysterious aroma, rustic elegance and ALPHA masculinity. Potent performance; I suggest not overusing it. I see it as versatile: fresh climates, day, evening and night, and rain. It’s expensive, but very beautiful. Without a doubt, it’s worth it. Scent: 10+1. Projection: good. Longevity: equally good. Price: Very high. Recommended.
I already tried a Round with my girlfriend and given the price of this I had no choice but to invest in something she also wanted. It smells herbal and woody like a forest burst through scrubland pine and cedar but with a very masculine minty freshness wave. The leather is unrefined sublime and subtle as if hidden; it’s like a deer or a servant hidden in the undergrowth where damp cold earth is noticeable. The deer watches you and you don’t see it but you know it’s there. It’s the magic of observing with your nose. Moreover it gives a sensation of cold; only a forest at the foot of a snow-capped mountain can offer that. The blend of lavender mint woods and subtle leather creates a masculine and classic impression but not lordly. It’s not for young lads; it’s another level for men 30 and above. Every time I use it I discover more: it’s the pure masculinity of a virile solitary lumberjack in his cabin hence the logo. Intriguing scent mysterious rustic elegance and alpha masculinity. Potent performance; I suggest not overusing it. It’s versatile: fresh climates evening night and rain. It’s expensive but very beautiful; without doubt it’s worth it. Scent: 10+1. Russian Leather by Memo Paris is a work of art that doesn’t have the hype of African or Sicilyan Leather but in my opinion it is more versatile and rich. I found it at Jomashop for around $125 for 75ml the price of many designer perfumes but this is another level. It’s the kind of leather I like: it doesn’t just give the realistic shoe-box leather smell but goes further with nuances that make it a delight. Extraordinary and delicious perfume provokes spraying it and not wanting to stop smelling it. A highly recommended jewel.
Memo Paris’s Russian Leather is a work of art that lacks the hype of its African or Sicilyan Leather siblings, but to me, it seems more versatile and rich. I found it on Jomashop for around $125 for 75ml, a price point common for many designer perfumes, but this is another level. It’s the kind of leather I love: it doesn’t just give the realistic experience of a shoebox smell, but goes beyond, offering nuances that make it a delight, an extraordinary and delicious perfume. It provokes you to keep applying it and smelling it, a highly recommended gem.
I’ve been waiting days to share my thoughts on this fragrance. Thanks to a complimentary decant when I bought another Memo, I wore it four times and tested its evolution throughout the day. My verdict: it vibrates very similarly to Ralph’s Club Parfum by Ralph Lauren. In fact, once I wore it, a friend asked if I was using that Ralph Lauren scent. The leather is blended throughout the aroma, but it’s not the star. Performance: 6-7 hours on skin in spring or autumn (6-8 sprays), but beware of extreme heat or cold, as it drops an hour in those conditions. Projects well for the first hour at arm’s length. It’s suited for formal or semi-formal occasions. This is an EDP made for those who enjoy fougère perfumes or those with a green, earthy profile, more realistically. In summary, aside from the high quality of Memo’s materials, most people won’t olfactorily distinguish between a Memo Russian Leather and the Ralph Lauren version, so when buying, ask your wallet to decide. Finally, I recommend testing any Memo perfume thoroughly and always on skin, rather than being guided solely by the scent on blotter paper.
Okay, I’ll give my opinion based on a 10ml decant I used for weeks. I didn’t dare buy the full bottle without trying first, as at this price you can’t go wrong. Although I already had African Leather (atomic and performing well), here the performance is very poor, which is the negative. The scent is pleasant; I find no similarity to another fragrance nor a clear leather; it’s more of a Fougère with Arab touches. The coriander, pine, woods, and basil are very timid. It lasts an hour and then crashes spectacularly. Given the price and performance, I wouldn’t buy it.
Watch out, be careful. The scent is brilliant and I love the concept, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it at all because you’ll end up spending a fortune on a perfume with absolutely no longevity. It’s a bad joke; I wish I could go back and not have purchased it. After four hours, there’s not even a skin scent left. I bought it because I already own a Perfume Parlour clone which is a dream, lasts forever, and smells incredible. I thought: ‘the original must have more nuances’. Mistake. Buy the clone, skip this one.
Careful! The scent is brilliant and I love the concept, but I don’t recommend buying it because the performance is poor. It’s a bad joke; I wish I could get rid of it. After four hours there’s not even a trace of skin left. I bought it because I had a clone of Perfume Parlour which is a fantasy and lasts forever, thinking the original would have more nuances… total mistake! Buy the clone, skip this one.
Not bad, but it’s not the Memo Paris I would choose. I tried it in-store and the first impression was pineapple with something floral (though not declared, I sensed it strongly upon spraying). At first it seemed feminine, but as it dried out it leaned towards masculine. In the dry down I noticed basil, spices, and wood, but I didn’t detect that Russian leather at all. It’s not memorable, it doesn’t represent me, so I wouldn’t buy it.
Not bad, but it’s not the Memo Paris scent that would make me buy it. I tried it this afternoon in-store: the first impression was pineapple with something floral, although pineapple isn’t listed in the notes, I honestly detected it on the dry-down. At first, it seemed quite feminine, but as it dried, it leaned more towards masculine in my opinion. On the dry-down, I perceive some basil, spices, and wood; I’m not sure exactly how that Russian leather smells (whether it differs from the leather we’re all used to), but I didn’t notice it at any point. It didn’t seem memorable to me, it’s not the kind of scent that represents me, so I wouldn’t buy it.
Reminds me of Highlands, but the Botanicae version has that nardo touch that makes it more unisex and lasts much longer. They share that wild green concept with suede at the base, but this one takes the crown for longevity.
Top performance and decent concentration, nothing to complain about. It’s a cold, sombre leather, herbal but not green, where conifer resins blend with woods and leather to last hours. Just six sprays lasted until the next day. No sweetness, which is a plus. It pairs perfectly with a leather jacket, bold yet elegant. Every euro spent is worth it; it’s enjoyable and unique among the ‘leathers’. The listed notes are there, but combined to form a perfect whole.
