This scent is like a refreshing wave of delicious sandalwood for the delight of all the senses. In this original blend, we appreciate a vibrant and spicy ginger, also some subtle floral accords in this melodious composition; it’s a sandalwood covered in citrus nuances, warm spices, and woody notes, especially with cardamomo and lime leading the way. The cedar is just right. What I least manage to appreciate are the ylang-ylang and the coffee. It’s very comfortable, light, easy to wear, and besides, it’s an essence that captures many compliments, because despite being fresh, it’s very noticeable. Genderless. Totally neutral. For me, it’s like an attractive sandalwood refresher with the cited ingredients. I love it and consider it ideal for spring and summer. Longevity: about six to eight hours. Sillage: moderate, around an arm. What a delightful fragrance and above all very original; it doesn’t try to copy anything. 10/10 ✔️

Santal Volcanique must be one of the brand’s most famous perfumes, and I think it’s a lovely scent, without being anything too flashy. It is undoubtedly an excellent sandalwood: creamy, spiced just right, slightly citrusy and clean. It doesn’t have much evolution on my skin, but it reminds me of Givenchy’s Pi and D&G’s The One without being remotely similar, yet with a similar woody and slightly sweet vibe. It’s a more masculine, versatile and generally pleasing fragrance. My impression is that this scent has served as a foundation for many modern perfumes (considering sandalwood is an ultra-used note at the heart of things) and remains a rich aroma with some nuances, though it doesn’t generate a surprise factor like other scents from the brand. Despite everything, I do recommend trying it. Rating: 7.5/10

  • I love it. The opening is super fresh and aromatic, an elegant and rich classic masculine scent that suits me perfectly. The dry-down is a hybrid between D&G’s By Man and Gucci Envy, two beasts from the 90s that now feel a bit dated to me. I like the scent a lot, but it smells a bit retro, which is why I never decide to buy it. If you like that typical 90s smell, you’ll love this proposal much more; it’s decidedly more masculine and I think it’s a great signature fragrance for men over 40. Note, it doesn’t smell like a fougère, simply like a man. I find it very attractive. Miao

  • I absolutely love it. The opening is super fresh and aromatic; it’s a classy, rich masculine classic that suits me perfectly. The dry down is a hybrid between D&G’s By Man and Gucci Envy, two 90s icons that were the height of fashion back then but now sound a bit dated. I really like the scent, yet it also smells slightly old-fashioned, which is why I haven’t decided to buy it. If you’re a fan of that typical 90s vibe, you’ll adore this proposal; it’s decidedly more masculine and I believe it’s a great signature for men over 40. Note, it doesn’t smell like a fougère, simply like a man. I find it very attractive. Miao

  • To me, it smells like window cleaner. I’m sorry, but I don’t like it at all. There are fascinating things in this brand, but Santal Volcanique isn’t one of them. I’ve only tried it in a decant, so to be fair, I can’t comment on the development. But regarding the scent: citrusy, ginger, that kind of smell is perceptible, but something gives it that chemical window-cleaner touch. It’s a NO for me.

  • To me, it smells like window cleaner. I’m sorry, but I don’t like it at all. This brand has jewels, but Santal Volcanique isn’t one of them. I’ve only tested it in a decant, so I can’t comment on the evolution. The scent is citrusy and ginger-like, but it lacks something and smells chemical, like window cleaner. It’s a NO for me.

  • Terrible. A sacrilege to compare it with Envy. Santal Volcanique smells like soap and is a very common scent for me.

A high-quality sandalwood that smells exquisite, elegant, noble, creamy and clean, like a high-end white floral soap. I’ve loved it; perfect to wear with a white shirt.

A scent I didn’t expect to be like this. The truth is that at first, the cardamom stands out a lot along with the ginger, which remains as the protagonist alongside the soft sandalwood. The coffee note is very subtle and I only catch it from time to time. A very soapy and clean fragrance.

A scent I didn’t expect. Initially, the cardamomo and ginger dominate, staying as the main protagonists alongside the soft sandalwood. The coffee note is very subtle and I only catch it occasionally. A very soapy and clean fragrance.

  • It’s a top-tier scent, but nothing youthful. Imagine a grown man in the bathroom after shaving and applying aftershave and perfume. It smells wonderful; the entire citrus and spice blend (cardamomo really stands out) merges beautifully, creating something unexpected with its notes. It’s soapy and clean, and the musk is very well crafted.
